Our pizza was amazing - Grecian with a white sauce - Corey and Chris are wonderful hosts. Laid-back, eat in or get food to go. Make sure you stop in; you’ll be keep coming back!
Great place for bar style pizza, amazing chicken parmesan and sides as well!
Food was fine. I’ve been several times and never had an issue until today. The customer service was AWFUL. They must have just recently got a new POS system that was clearly have issues or the employee was not trained on the system. He slid my card and it clearly went through on my side and was processed in the card reader. Right after the system crashed. Showed the employee my card was charged. He INSISTED that he took all of my information. Gave him my phone number. Called me about an hour after i left accusing me of not paying and telling me he needs my card number after I showed him and told him the money came out of my bank account. I was stated multiple times the money came out of my bank account and was not paying again. employee goes “whatever” and hung up the phone. needless to say maybe teach your employees a little respect. will not be going back.
Always quality, always consistent...love Maria's pizza...delicious!
This is and has always been one of the best pizza places ever.
I love it and always have.
Everything and everyone here are as great as it gets.
Good, solid choice for inexpensive, no frills pizza. Selection isn't wide... One size only, modest range of toppings. But good crust, never soggy or floppy, toppings ok. Recommended for takeout. For eating in, there's no table service, you get your food from the counter and take it to your table. We found the Caesar salad overdressed.
Great family owned spot. Small town pizzeria owned by a couple of brothers. Italian thin crust at its best. Buffalo chicken pizza is the go to.
Had much better Pizza everywhere else on the North Shore. Disappointed as I was told it was the best, so I made a trip to Gloucester just to try it.

As we were in Gloucester, and we had to wait for 40 minutes until our Commuter train ride, we decided to eat anything fast. Maria pizza was exactly in front of train station. We were the only one customers. We ordered just a pizza and some fries with beer. It took us 30 minutes of waiting, until we finally got our order. We have never eaten so fast the hot pizza in our life :)))) But while waiting for our order, 5 or 6 people just came for pick up their orders. That is why it took more time. So overall, the place is very popular with locals for pick up pizza. The size of pizza is only 12", and people would normally take 2-3 pizzas to go. The pizzeria is very small and very very old, but I do believe it has its history. As we like to visit the same kind of pizzeria where we live.

Lost us as a customer. Website says dine in but when we got there they said the dining area was closed and only pizza could be ordered. When we inquired further their vague response was that it was too hot and they have no A.C. They have been opened since 1959 and they have no A.C.?? It's going to be hot for the rest of the summer so I guess they will never have dine-in. I also remember going there in the cooler months and their response at the time had been that the dining room "wasn't open YET". So exactly WHEN is dining in available?? And not for nothin' but what about the staff that has to cook in the July heat? We would have been happy to sit inside at a table in warmer than ideal conditions, we had been used to that in prior years. Too cheap to hire waitresses? Who cares, we just wanted to sit inside instead of taking home cold pizza! So Maria's Pizza why don't you change your website to reflect that you don't offer dine-in. You may be better off.
Best pizza in town by far!!!
