Great restaurant! We have always had great service from Midori and their food is exceptional! The staff is always so friendly.

One warning - google has a delivery service called "Bring me that" attached to the delivery links. Do not use them. They scammed me out of money and I tried to dispute it through Paypal who also wouldn't do anything about it. Definitely do not use "Bring Me That" as a delivery service. Just call Midori and have one of their drivers send it.

We have gotten food from this place for years. We ordered sweet and sour chicken which is a dish with sour sauce on it that comes with rice. The place gave us tempura chicken fingers instead and charged us for sweet and sour chicken. When we called to tell them about the discrepancy the guy argued with my wife for exactly 12 minutes on the phone telling us that our tempura chicken fingers was sweet and sour chicken. It was a customer service nightmare that my kids witnessed. It was the most unbelievable conversation I ever heard, no apology, pure denial. We confronted him that prices on the paper receipt didn't match the paper menu or website menu- denied that as well. Some items up to 3 dollars more. And it wasn't delivery I picked it up. I went into this place with all the food
and literally put the chicken fingers in the guys face and he told me it was sweet and sour chicken. I was absolutely baffled. They destroyed me, my wife and my kids night over chicken fingers. He did refund my card, reluctantly and instead of maybe saying keep the food (the right thing to do after he clearly was called out) he said your food is going in the trash. I was absolutely shocked. We will never be back and we will tell every single person we know in Gloucester about this. If you get food here be sure and check your receipts. I told him I was writing a review, likely fast working to change their prices. Wonder how much money they made off adding a few extra dollars to items?

Best Chinese in the area. Combination plates come with 2 appetizers and a soup or soda while most places just offer 1 app and a soda. Have yet to have anything that disappoints. Specifically love the steamed pork dumplings and I the beef teriyaki, but can’t go wrong. Only complaint is that they don’t deliver to certain areas on the island. Used to be in their delivery zone but haven’t been for a few years now in pigeon cove Rockport.

I got takeout shrimp and veggie tempura. The veggies had proper tempura batter. The shrimp, however, was not battered. I think it was rolled in cornmeal. It seemed to have been some frozen crap that you'd find in your grocer freezer. I've been to Japan plenty of times. This shrimp didn't come anywhere close to what I expected from a place that touts its Japan cuisine. I can't imagine how the spicy Tuna hand roll that I ordered would have been, had it come.

The crab rangoons tasted liked melted juicy fruit. So sweet. No flavor. I am surprised they get away with it. The Spicy sweet and sour soup was very good.

Ordered a pickup today for a birthday, when arriving home, the salmon were smelly and not edible. We tried a few and none of us could eat. We called the restaurant, the girl on the line was fine but the owner kept shouting on the back fighting back that fishes will be fishy, no they won't lady. Offered me $15 out of $56 bill which I refuse, I rather leave this review and let people know of the poor way this restaurant is serving food. Hopefully none of us will get sick today and this restaurant should not be serving this fish.

Love just about everything. Sushi is best on the island and affordable. Scallion pancakes, rice, noodles and steak and crab rangoon are a few of my favoritre. Don't particularly care for their Pho, ramen and orange chicken but this is still my go to place when I am craving quality Asian cuisine. I do more take out than sit down but both are always great.

We've driven by this place many times and after more than two years, we decided to give it a try. The outside of the restaurant makes you think the inside will be a fast-serve cafeteria style place, but we were pleasantly surprised. Dimly lit, surprisingly modern decor, and very clean. They have a full bar, but they have one of those seasonal liquor licenses, so we couldn't order cocktails. Seriously, seasonal liquor licenses just need to stop. Give these small businesses a break. Anyways, the menu was huge having Japanese, Vietnamese, and Chinese cuisine. The sushi menu alone was massive. I had the chicken pho. It was quite good, though the consistency of the chicken was a little odd. The flavor of the broth was on point though--and that's coming from a guy who used to live in the Vietnamese area of Dorchester and had pho often. The shumai was terriffic, and so was the miso soup, though it could have been served a little hotter. The server could not have been nicer, and attentive. Overall, we enjoyed this littler place very much and will return.
