Delicious food! They sure know how to use a fryer here—calamari and fries were perfectly crispy. Great drinks. Highly recommended!

My wife and I stopped in for early dinner. The food was ok. We ordered fried calamari which was crispy and tasty, not chewy like some calamari. Our main meal was Cod and Veggies and Eggplant ravioli. The cod was fresh but a tad bland. My wife thought the ravioli were also bland. Overall, not our favorite restaurant in Gloucester but not the worst. Mid

Jovanna is just OUTSTANDING! The food is delicious. The ambience is great. The old-fashioned is second and none. Make sure you ask her for craft ice. She’s a professional mixologist.

This little gem is AMAZING! To start we got the calamari with the marinara sauce. It was perfectly lightly battered and fried. It was not tough or rubbery! We had the haddock special with the potatoes and green beans. The haddock melted in your mouth and was laid on the top of a garlic potatoes and green beans. Again, perfection. The lobster quesadilla was so unique and the flavors just burst and melted together. I would definitely recommend this place! Now, the service was not what I am accustomed to as I am from Alabama. So I do not know if it’s a culture thing, but after the food was dropped off we were not checked on and it took a while to get our ticket. That did not ruin our experience however and I absolutely loved this place and the atmosphere!

I usually don’t write reviews but honestly please take as feedback!
Me and my family stopped there for lunch,
They have no sense of timing, i have to say that caipirinha (drink) was really good!
But the food is not worth it at all.
My son’s burger had a very dry bum , we order ribs for appetizers and the picanha plate!
Literally 95% fries and 5% meat , very disappointing!
We ordered second round of drinks and it took 25 min to get the drinks P.s= the place was empty..
Ling story short, not worth the price, the it and the service!
I wish to be here leaving a 5 stars review because the family is really nice, but they definitely need training and understanding of restaurant business!
Please take the reviews seriously and fix the place and im sure you’ll have a great restaurant!

We stopped here before a show at The Cut and really enjoyed the food. Everything was tasty and they had some great vegetarian options on the menu. I definitely recommend checking them out!

Rude host, picked up menus and walked away and expected us to follow her. Did not come to take our order and happily politely made jokes with the other table nearby. I dont know if she was just having a bad day but we walked out. Skip this place if you can. Rude

Had preshow dinner here before catching a great horns band at The Cut (really good venue for live music). Just added this place to our Gloucester short list-- for the food freshness, delicious taste!
THE FOOD/MENU: for a starter we shared the grilled shrimp in an onion/garlic/tomato broth-- really delicious! The baked haddock special was served over mash with a side of green beans-- just about the most basic New England dish you can imagine. The quality & evident freshness of the fish expertly prepared resulted in an unusual level of perfection 😋; meltingly tender fish, neither under or over cooked was not overwhelmed by the freshly made mashed potatoes-- perhaps the best version I've ever eaten of this dinnertime staple. Scallops over homemade linguine had my husband very happy. We both agreed we'll be back!
THE SETTING near the bottom of the gentle downhill that is tree-lined, one-way Main Street, Oliver's has an attractive, easy to spot storefront next to the lovely front gardens of the Sargent House Museum. Charming shops and a well-known bakery fill the immediate vicinity. The dining room features excellent local seascape photos and paintings.
