For the price, it's way below the standard in the service department. The photo shows the "lunch crowd". Why?Service: very slow. Food: very slow. The unshaven host/waiter? in the hoodie & jeans was polite, but, zero water refill, zero coffee refill, had to look for him to pay the ticket. Not good.

The owners of this restaurant are 2 generations of a family from Brazil who spent years working in fine dining in Boston and Gloucester, learning every kind of world cuisine, from Asia to Europe to the US and their native South America before opening their own restaurant right before COVId hit. The father, who had not even boiled water when they left Brazil 25 years ago, now has a repertoire of 600 soups alone! Anyway, they made it through the pandemic thank God, and in addition to the spectacular food at a very fair price, the ambience is warm and inviting. This is the kind of place you can take your family and friends and linger over good food and wine. You will all want to taste each other's food. I don't even know what to recommend first because it's all so good but ok, the lobster bisque is the best I have ever tasted and the flan with orange marmelade drizzled on top is an ingenuous Brazilian/Latino/American fusion! I highly recommend Olivers Harbor to any and everyone who loves delicious food made and served with joy and love.

$23 for a hamm-burger today ?? I think even Wimpy would have a problem with that. Even though it did have bacon on it. Nothing special, just a burger.

I wanna thank Caroline and other staff who helped to keep my stuff for a week until I got back to take it. The best service and special and tasty salmon. Will definitely visit it again.

I was excited to try this place out! I'm not sure if they are having staffing problems, but service was terrible. I had to ask the host for us to get waited on. Someone that clearly wasn't a waiter came to our table. Their tap system was down, we weren't offered any bread until a real waiter noticed we didn't have any, the food was just ok at best.

Lack luster, small menu. I don't like writing not so good reviews, but won't be back. Baked clams. Raw stove top, some clams. No, no thank you ?

We were a table of ten, had incredible service and the food was epic!! Highly recommend! The menu caters to whatever you want from sushi to spaghetti bolognese! Desert was insane too! Our waitress Carolyne was warm and friendly! Will definitely be back!

The food was good, but this is one of those nightmare restaurants where the service staff was just lazzzzyyyyy! Only three occupied tables, NO EXCUSE!

I think we just caught this restaurant on a bad night. It wasn’t busy but the service was not attentive. Some pieces of bread seemed stale and the portion size was not great. I had the Cod over mashed potatoes, it tasted good but the piece of cod could have been larger. My wife had the linguine with clams which she liked but again, portion size/value were lacking and 6 clams (cockles actually) didn’t open. There are many great restaurants in Gloucester and this may be one of them, but it just wasn’t on our first visit here.

We went in late in the evening. Even though there were only a few patrons there, the waiter was so welcoming, the food was absolutely delicious. Good vibes, great food!
