The food here is next level. It's literally so good, that I had to double check and make sure I was still actually on this planet. Cant wait to go back!

We love Sandpiper. We love the staff, the food, the atmosphere and the convenience. As a small, local business owner, I have zero problem with their transparent pricing. We offer the same. It’s crazy that somehow transparency is being spun as a bad thing in some of these reviews. Any way I could go on and on about the cost of running a small business, but most people don’t care bc they aren’t in the arena. Their primary concern is the extra .45 their croissant costs. We are regulars. We order for our family and our clients. Everything is exceptional. I particularly love the salmon toast, almond croissant, tapos for a quick sweet, any of their counter sandwiches, grain bowl and the chick pea soup! I’m sure my kids have their favorites too. And my husband will eat literally everything there. Heading over this afternoon and hope to grab 2 of the homemade chicken pot pies for family dinner! When my mother reached end of life, their quiches were the only thing she would eat. I would grab a coffee and 2 quiche on the way to hospice and be sure she ate something amazing with me. The hospice staff was not happy with me but that didn’t phase me one bit. Because of this Sandpiper will always have a special place in my heart. This bakery is popular! Be prepared to wait, look at their menu in advance. Have a back up option in mind. No matter what you choose, you will not be disappointed!

The scone was probably our favorite pastry, but I really just want to try everything. The savory food is amazing as well.

Great good all the time. Feel like I belong there - so welcomed by staff. I don’t know how they could be better…

Honestly, the food wasn't great, certainly not what I expected given some of these reviews, in particular the cookie I ordered was a bit stale. I went there, ordered some items and paid the final bill. After I left, I was going over the math in my head, it just didn't add up, it seemed too high. I went on their website and found that they charge a 15 percent "administrative fee".Put another way, their prices are falsely represented as 15 percent lower than the amount the customer will be charged. They say it's to pay their staff more . . . Yes, the money paid by customers goes to pay your staff. Literally, the entire world understands this concept, the problem is that you are falsely listing your prices as lower than the customer will actually be charged.Edit to respond to reply:Going off your example the thing is it's not a 3 dollar cookie anymore. If you add an extra 15 percent to the bill, then the cookie you advertise as 3 dollars is now $3.45 not including tax. As such you ARE lying about your prices.

Great pastry, friendly staff, terrible iced coffee. Undrinkable and chucked it after 2 sips. Croissant was good. 11 dollars for a beverage and a pastry is borderline

We stopped by to grab a few pastries. Everything was delicious! Especially the salted honey pie and macaroon cookies! Wish we lived slightly closer.

On my recent visit I noticed a mandatory 15% fee added to my order. I was told it is for helping increase the wages to the back end employees as tipping them is illegal. They also had a full tip jar for the people who serve you at the front end. I'm all for a living wage, but this is ridiculous. Just raise the prices & pay them more . I've been a longtime customer that followed them from Gloucester to Ipswich. I will not be coming back.

Everything is delicious. They have an exceptional vegetarian quiche, the most delightful lavender shortbread cookies, perfectly baked croissants… and the loveliest staff. Their sandwiches are phenomenal as well, and the seasonal bowls can brighten anyone’s week!

Beautiful cafe, I hope it is just a fliuke but I have had the worst hot coffee there in a long time! Bitter, strong in a poor ground to water ratio way. I brought it home and trashed it. The baked goods are beautiful.

Wow! One of our best finds on our weekend trip in Ipswich. We stopped by for breakfast on Sunday and ordered the biscuit breakfast sandwich, avocado toast, and 2 biscuits to go. The biscuit breakfast sandwich was the best thing we had. The egg was so fluffy, the sausage was so juicy, and the biscuit was crispy and perfect. I'm still dreaming of it back in Boston. Also definitely add the aioli...yum. I think they only offer the biscuit breakfast sandwich on Sundays otherwise you have to get the regular breakfast sandwich. Not sure how that one will compare. The avocado toast was fresh and the cucumbers added a nice touch. The 2 biscuits we got to go were also perfect even 6 hours later. Can't wait to go back when I'm in the area.

A cute little bakery in Ipswich right next to the library. I came on a weekday for lunch with a friend and got a quiche, cookie, and strawberry apple juice. They also have a menu with breakfast items and sandwiches that are made to order. There's window seating inside and a few tables for outdoor dining. The quiche was really good, a bit eggy with veggies in it and the crust was crispy. The chocolate chip cookie was standard and the molasses cookie was chewy. The strawberry apple juice was something I had never seen before, but was still sweet and had hints of strawberry. The bakery was bustling with lots of people and orders coming in and out. Overall, a nice place to stop by if you're in the area.
