Perhaps the best true New England experience on the North Shore. Best SERVICE in Massachusetts.

We’ve eaten here before and the Food is extraordinary, however the hostess needs an attitude adjustment . This particular evening, we were seated and immediately found that the music (a tribal beat-like instrumental) was at a volume that was just overwhelming. We politely requested of our waitress if the volume could be turned down a bit. She, also politely, said that she would pass our request to the hostess who, on NO UNCERTAIN TERMS TOLD THE WAITRESS, “ Tell those people NO!”.
We excused ourselves and left!

This is a very pleasant spot right in annisquam. Parking is difficult. Food is mediocre. The menu is very limited. However the overall experience is more upscale than most other restaurants on Cape Ann.

Great restaurant with a gorgeous view of the Annisquam river. Fabulous service but limited menu focused on tuna and other seafood. We had seared scallops and roasted duck breast as entrees and topped it off with delicious tiramusu. The menu is somewhat eclectic and pricey, but the location charm compensates for that!

Our neighbors have been telling us about Talise forever and we finally ventured out today for brunch. My husband got the French toast and I got the hue is ranchero. Not only were both delicious, the portions were just right and you could tell everything was fresh! Servers were all super friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed casual, which was great...along with super views. Make sure you reserve ahead AND get there early as parking is limited and you won't want to be late! Definitely a great experience.... we'll be back!

Thankful to be at Talise with my wife and mom!
So worth the wait! Next time I need to make reservations!
The food was excellent. Tony was our server and just read us so well.
Thankful for Ariel’s genuinely caring for us as we waited over an hour and a half to be seated!

We’ve always loved Talise for dinner, so when we found out they had brunch we had to give it a try. It was a perfect, beautiful day so sitting on the deck at Talise early Sunday after a bender of a 4th of July week was magic. The food came out quick as did our much needed coffees and iced teas. Everything looked great and was delicious as usual and we’re looking forward to going back again to try more items.

Dockside dining with a seasonal menu in Annisquam, opposite Wingaersheek beach.

Nice location, although the cramped deck (with a plastic window covers) was kinda loud. Service was great.

Good wine/ beer selection (no alcohol), but crazy prices (around $12 for a beer).

Food was a disappointment (considering great ingredients/ small menu) Salad was fantastic. Bass tartar was a little bland, but okay. Bass entre was really watery. Burro o oro (pasta), was not great. Sauce tasted like chef Boyardee with a bunch of tobasco, topped with killer parmigiana. Great ingredients in a dish that ended up being less than the sum of its parts.

We had a disappointing meal last night for our anniversary dinner. The 2 pasta dishes we ordered were undercooked and 1 was particularly salty. When we mentioned this to the young lady who cleared our plates she apologized and didn't offer any redress. The waiter of the table next to us offered his customers complimentary desserts for their similar undercooked pasta dishes.
We have always had great meals at Talise but this evening was mediocre.
