Truly a fantastic restaurant that we are very fortunate to have in New England. Talise is everything we could hope for: family owned, supports the community, celebrates our fisherman and the seasons, and most importantly- continuously pushes out Michelin quality food that never gets old. Wish them nothing but the best and hope they can be a part of our community for a long time and an institution you just want to root for.

What a delight! Food was excellent. Server was so friendly and attentive. The drive through Annisquam is like a story book. The setting is a little fantasy. Perfect evening.

The owner/gm is wonderful, so kind and engaging, and the food, omg! Fresh, full of flavor, wonderfully complementary, and beautifully presented. Great meal, locally sourced, and imaginatively composed. Service was great, as well.

A waterside gem. Excellent service. Delicious shortlist of dishes and drinks. Joined the waitlist two days out and was given a table day-of planned visit.

I’m a local, and it’s one of my favorite restaurants to dine in especially during the summer months, I have never been disappointed, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is always fresh and tasty cheers to the chef, his wife, and staff
We always have a great time there.
Eating at the bar has a way of transporting your whole experience there as you savor each bite, don’t forget to leave room for desert.
Bon appetite,
Lorraine + Family.

We started with the Tuna Crudo and dressed oysters. The dressed oysters were good, but the better value was the 1/2 or full dozen oysters for appetizers. The Tuna crudo had an odd number of portions for the two of us…both lacked in flavor. My wife had the scallops and I had the ribeye; both were good, not over top. Talise was a nice dinner, but not our favorite for the Rockport/Gloucester area!

My wife and I had an amazing experience here this past Saturday night. The restaurant itself is tucked away in a quaint, charming part of Gloucester that offers beautiful ocean/harbor views and the dining experience matches the atmosphere perfectly. Limited menu, but the food was outstanding top to bottom. We sat at the bar and the bartender Ariel provided some of the best service we’ve had in recent memory. She was very kind, genuine and hospitable and her knowledge of the menu and ability to describe each dish as well as the wines was very impressive. She knew every detail top to bottom.

I also want to give a shout out to the hostess (or whoever manages the phone). I called last minute around 5 PM to see if they had any openings which they didn’t at the time, but she called me back around 7 to give me a heads up that a table would be opening up in about 30 minutes, so we hopped in the car and headed straight there. I thought this was just overall a really kind and thoughtful gesture.

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience here and we will 100% be coming back as soon as possible! 10/10. Highly recommend.

Perhaps the best true New England experience on the North Shore. Best SERVICE in Massachusetts.

We’ve eaten here before and the Food is extraordinary, however the hostess needs an attitude adjustment . This particular evening, we were seated and immediately found that the music (a tribal beat-like instrumental) was at a volume that was just overwhelming. We politely requested of our waitress if the volume could be turned down a bit. She, also politely, said that she would pass our request to the hostess who, on NO UNCERTAIN TERMS TOLD THE WAITRESS, “ Tell those people NO!”.
We excused ourselves and left!

This is a very pleasant spot right in annisquam. Parking is difficult. Food is mediocre. The menu is very limited. However the overall experience is more upscale than most other restaurants on Cape Ann.
