I love the The Cove! I live about an hr away and come to visit my family out here in Gloucester a few times a year. I always try and stop in during my short visits. Don't always make it, but I always think about it! Love their dirty (that's when you add a shot of espresso) or regular iced chai. Not overly sweet, and very warming spice forward. You can tell they use a high-quality tea, and not just a syrup based liquid or just cover it in sugar to compensate. Fresh made baked goods every day. That being said, I would not recommend planning to stay to eat with a large group. There is very limited seating. A counter along one of the front windows, and maybe the other or just a small table. I don't recall the other side. I think with 1 other person, maybe 2, you would be okay, but I wouldn't push it. I also don't think if you have a rowdy or young kid this would be a sit down place for you, as it is quite small. Street parking only, I've never had a problem parking, but it is kind of a narrower street, and we don't have a large car.

The cafe itself is very cute. The portion of food small and is overpriced and lacks flavor. We had a sandwich and a bowl and both were terrible. The sandwich was mostly bread and the bowl lacked content.

Great little lunch spot, either for a quiet lunch solo or to grab a bunch of sandwiches before heading out on the boat. Really an asset to the community, there are so few places on this side of the cape that Cove Cafe fills a desperate need and does so in a high quality way. I have never been disappointed with my order and the staff is lovely.

Definitely the heart of the town with its warmhearted people and great food. Top notch chicken salad and a seven-layer bar that was absolutely delicious. Top it off with a coconut cream pie latte for the drive home. ~ km, poet & author

I ordered here for lunch on the recommendation of a few of our clients who work nearby. Online ordering was quick, easy and I liked that it was customizable. The storefront itself is quaint and super cute inside. I was warmly greeted and our food was ready when I arrived. The turkey/apple/cheddar sandwich still visits me in my dreams. 10/10 would recommend!

Their Brownie and caramel pecan bar were amazing!! Stopped to find out where to get a good lobster roll. They found out what was open and sent me to the Causeway restaurant which was great too.
When I visit my sister, I always stop here to pick up lunch. They have great sandwiches.

I went out of my way to stop at Cove Cafe on my way to the beach. So many happy summer memories are tied up with a walk to Cove Cafe in the morning to get coffee and a raspberry oat bar. The taste is phenomenal. My friend is gluten free and she is ecsyatic about all the gf offerings. Thank you Cove Cafe! ♥️?️♥️
