About Virgilio's Bakery

Virgilio's Bakery is a well-regarded old-school bakery and sandwich shop that offers a wide range of house-made breads, pastries, and sandwiches. The Saint Joseph (Italian Sub/sandwich) and the regular and Sicilian-style pizza continue to be praised, and the pastries, including the almond cannoli and whoopie pies, are said to be incredible. The sandwiches are highly rated, with visitors enjoying the Steak Bomb Sandwich and the vegetarian option. The breakfast sandwich, though considered a bit skimpy on the bacon, is seen as a good value, and the wedding cookies come highly recommended.

Customers praise the great sandwiches, fresh and flavorful, and appreciate the friendly and personable staff. The nice selection of breads and pastries, including the sfogliatelle and lobster tail, is enjoyed by many. Virgilio's Bakery is a local favorite, known for its quality baked goods and satisfying sandwiches, with an atmosphere that reflects decades of tradition. While slightly pricey, this bakery is a must-stop for travelers looking for an amazing experience with delicious food.

My sister and I enjoyed the most delicious full size cannoli (yes pre dinner don’t judge) that was North End quality!! Delicious.
