Unfortunately Zeke’s closed (expected to be permanent) in December, 2024. It was a great place and its originality, fine food and convivial atmosphere will truly be missed.

Cute little breakfast resteraunt. Parking is right across the street and in front of the building, but limited nonetheless. Now, onto the resteraunt itself. The food here is top-notch! Plenty of options and some good specials. Wait times to get in can be lengthy, but usually, they aren't too bad. Wait times for food can be long, but the food is made from scratch, so understandable. Overall, a great resteraunt that I highly recommend for a great breakfast!

So good I want to keep it for myself. Nothing fancy or special about the place just good food and a cozy atmosphere. Multiple signs posted that good food takes time and they aren't kidding. I'm not a sausage and biscuits fan but theirs have converted me!

Waiting over an hour for food when it is NOT busy is beyond unreasonable.

While Zeke’s certainly has delicious food, take the sign out front— which warns that you’ll wait for food, and if you don’t want to wait go to Dunkin— seriously. I made the mistake of assuming this sign was the result of Boston weekenders expecting a turnaround time that is only possible with a large staff in a business that’s designed to handle more volume. Growing up in a small town, I’m used to the slightly longer wait times that tend to come with smaller places.

HOWEVER, I did not expect to wait over an hour for a BLT. I wish this were a one off thing, but apparently, according to other reviews, diners should come expecting outrageous food wait times.

Again, don’t get me wrong— the food was great. That being said, it certainly wasn’t worth the wait. To each their own, but I would not come back here again.

I was initially excited to try Zeke’s Place and was ready to leave a 5-star review. However, after sitting at the counter and watching the cooks prepare the food, I became quite concerned about their food handling practices. Throughout my time there, not once did I see them change their gloves. They were dipping their hands in raw egg, touching plates, wiping up spills from the floor, and then handling fresh fruit without any glove change. While my food looked delicious, I couldn’t help but worry about what I couldn’t see. Cleanliness and proper food handling are critical, and unfortunately, this left me disappointed. I hope they address this issue for the safety of their customers.

Went to Zekes this morning with my mom in Gloucester to try a different breakfast spot. Walked inside the girl behind the counter took my name and number and told me that it would be about a 25 minute wait it was about 15 minutes and we picked out our own seat. The waitress was very attentive and the other waitress was walking around filling up peoples coffee the service was excellent and the food was to die for one of my top 3 new spots the beans were so delicious and my sausage Benedict was cooked to perfection, my bacon was well done as ordered and nice and thick my mothers apple bread was perfect and the fried dough was amazing! Yes it’s a little tight inside as far as seating but well worth it everything was perfect and exceeded my expectations definitely worth the trip and highly recommend

Probably my favorite breakfast place in Gloucester, they kind of pride themselves on taking a long time, but it's not that bad. They have a fruit bowl, which is not very common in Gloucester breakfast. Also the food is fantastic, it's made right out in the open, the bacon is juicy, the fruit is fresh, they have pastries, eggs, french toast, pancakes, the options are endless. I wish they would blend the strawberry lemonade but that's really a very small complaint. Everything I have there is a perfect meal to start the day.
