Absolutely delicious breakfast. It may take a while to arrive, as it’s a chill place, but if you’re looking for a yummy meal, chill vibes, and some rest from, I highly recommended this cozy place.Try #7 on the breakfast menu. Pancakes are also ?

I’ve been to Zeke’s for breakfast and lunch dozens of times and have never been disappointed. I have stomach issues and it’s difficult to find restaurants that agree with me, but my stomach have never been bothered from the food here. The gluten free English muffins are perfect, too! You can really taste the love in every dish?Dietary restrictions: Delicious gluten free options

Everything we tried was so good!! We went closer to closing and were able to snag 2 counter seats with no wait time. With so many options it was hard to choose just one thing, but since I forgot my glasses I couldn't read the specials written on the wall in the other room I was narrowed down to the printed menu and settled on the eggs Benedict. A perfect poached egg, well seasoned hash browns - I didn't regret my choice at all.My husband ordered sweet hash which unfortunately they ran out of. He said that was fine, he'd take just the regular hash (he'd ordered both to try) we were pleasantly surprised when they made a serving of sweet hash for him anyway! We're already trying to plan a return trip!

You can't beat the food and atmosphere at Zeke's. Nostalgic music, genuine service and food prepared and served with love and perfection. Today I had the Turkey Bacon Avocado Club with Tomato soup for lunch. Yuuuuuge sandwich so it will also be dinner.

The server was less than pleasant, menus were put down with no acknowledgment just walked away. I received a dish that I was not expecting to have onions I apologized and asked if I could have something different. I waited for 10 minutes to gain her attention to no avail, I got up and went to approach her with the food and apology. She abruptly said you should have read the menu, she did not offer me another choice and handed me the check. It's sad that such ignorance would be instilled in service work I paid and lefty a hefty tip I believe that is good in the waitress and she should treat people the way she would want to be treated. The food is good for what my spouse had and I have been there before the the food was good!Peace & Love

We'd been to Zeke's once earlier this year and loved it. The food was amazing. Despite the recent less-than-stellar reviews, we decided to make the drive again this morning. They open at 8:00. We were among the first customers of the day. Nobody sat us, we were just directed to sit wherever we wanted. We'd been there 10 minutes or so before being offered coffee and menus. Our waitperson, who seemed as though she'd rather be doing virtually anything other than working, took the order and walked away. No "hi," no "thanks," just walked away. Ten or so minutes later, we got her attention (not easy to do, as she seemed intent on not making eye contact with any of the customers) and asked for more coffee. Another 10 minutes passed by before she returned with coffee pots...and refilled the coffee cups of the folks across from us. She then proceeded to the tables at the back and refilled all of those. As she walked by with the now-empty coffee pots, we managed to flag her down again and ask for more coffee. When she returned she had a fresh pot of decaf and an almost-empty pot of regular. After glancing from one pot to the other, she poured the decaf into our cups and walked away. Even though we don't regularly drink decaf, we knew we'd likely wait another 15 minutes for regular, so we just drank it. It may have been at this point that I said to my husband, "she has the personality of a coffee cup." He pointed out that I was not being fair to coffee cups. As we continued to wait for our breakfast, I witnessed our server dealing with a family who were seated by the front door. I think they must have asked to be moved because it was chilly. She pointed to the back section, indicating they could sit back there. As they were getting up to move, one of the men tripped over the rug and nearly fell. Our server remained still and silent. After he'd walked past her, she looked down at the rug and then walked away. I noticed another customer go over and look at the rug, and straighten it out. (It's not unusual for me to notice stuff like this - I spent 43 years working in the insurance industry, and noticing this kind of thing has become automatic for me.) I The food came and was served by another waitperson, who also said she'd be back with the Vermont maple syrup I'd ordered ($2.25 surcharge). That never happened. We asked our original server for it, and she disappeared out back. I somehow doubt you'll be shocked to hear, it never materialized. Our food was wonderful. I had French toast with their homemade Anadama bread and fruit. My husband had apple crisp pancakes. Everything was delicious, even with the "regular" maple syrup, which we had to ask the folks across from us for. (Let me just add, we expected the food to take a while. There are signs up explaining that everything is made fresh, and it's not a quick process. My two-star rating is as high as two stars strictly due to the food!) Eventually, our friendly server returned and left the check on the table and walked away. $25.09, but no way to tell for certain whether we were charged for my non-existent syrup. We left $30 and called it a day. On our way home, we came to the conclusion that, while the food is terrific, we don't think we'll be driving 20 miles each way again for it, given the overall dining experience.

We were in the area for a quick weekend getaway and found Zekes place. This is a fantastic spot for breakfast! Great food and service! It has a very comfortable home-like atmosphere that my friends and I loved. The fresh baked options are delicious! And they give you lots of food! If you are ever in the area, you’ve got to come here!

This is definitely a "locals" place. It has a great neighborhood setting across from the harbor. Signs all around reaffirm they operate at a slower speed than fast food and that all orders are made from scratch. The menu is the perfect combination of classic and new, and the food tasted like it came from my mother's kitchen. If you want to have breakfast IN Gloucester, this is the place. We will be back on our next trip for sure.

On the water in Cape Ann MA. We went there to go whale watching and wanted to get some local food and support small business. Zekes fit all. Food was great & they had grits too. Great place to go in a nice atmosphere.
