Anytime we're in the area we try to stop by here and pick up a few loaves to bring home. Everything they make is fantastic. We also love the day old bread shed. Highly recommend this bakery, and it's worth taking a bit of a detour to get to.
My husband and I bought 2 loaves of Berkshire Mountain Bakery bread, the San Francisco and the potato/onion, at the Forest Park Farmers Market in Springfield, MA on February 17, 2024. Both loaves are incredibly flavorful, with amazing texture and “chew”. I had made beef stew for dinner and the potato/onion loaf was the perfect pairing. While I currently live in East Longmeadow, MA, I grew up in the Berkshires and will definitely make a trip just for this bread!
