The menu looked great so we decided to take a chance & we struck gold! The appetizer (Roman artichoke) was delicious, our main courses (Yellowfin tuna bento & the halibut special) were to die for, my cocktail was tasty & our desserts (Lemon ginger panna cotta & banana Napoleon) were unbelievable! If you ever find yourself out this way, try this place! You WON’T be disappointed!
The maitre d’ was dressed in old jeans and an untucked shirt. In a restaurant where entrees can cost $45. He conducted us to our table, plopped the menus down, and departed. No pulling the chair out for my fellow diner, no “Enjoy your dinner.” What gives? In this day and age, the menu is even more meat-centric than it used to be. So I had pasta with shrimp, which managed to be very rich and unseasoned. I didn’t finish it so the waitress handed me an empty cardboard container...
We have been dining at Cafe Adam for several years and have had great experiences. Sadly, the quality of the food has declined and the prices are excessive. The tuna was a rare and was sent back and it was still rare. The menu selection is no longer interesting.
