Great Barrington Pizza House

I had a cockroach come out from under the side molding against our table facing towards the restrooms onto my pizza and back under the wall today. The foo was great until I seen what I did today unfortunately. Be careful.

Stopped yesterday for a grinder. First time there. The man was extremely friendly. We had a Italian grinder with everything on it warmed up in the oven. He called it the mix. It was out of this world good! Can’t wait to go back.

The "large" pizza is an enormous "party cut" pizza that weighs, like, 20 pounds. Only order it if you have an entire party or football team to feed. What I normally consider a "large" is what they call a "medium".

Parking: Medium sized parking lot around back. Maybe a dozen spaces?

I prefer New York style crust which is thin and folds easily. This pizza crust was somewhat rigid and tended to crack in half. It would be better eaten with a knife and fork. The beer selection was bottled and not very large. The interior is bland and nothing to remark about. There is adequate parking in the rear.

Absolutely phenomenal grinder. 10/10 best grinder I’ve ever had. Steak with sautéed peppers and onions, tomatoes lettuce mayo and I swapped out the cheese for mozzarella. The cheese pull was better than most mozarella sticks. The grinder was toasted to perfection; nice color and the crunch complemented the taste of the fillings wonderfully. If I lived local this would be my new go-to spot.

Recommended dishes: Pepperoni Pizza

They make excellent pizza of the thick crust ("Greek") style that we have enjoyed since they were on Railroad Street 40 or so years ago. The large pizzas are sliced into rectangular pieces which makes it much easier to eat and to divide among a family. The Greek salads are very good. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The prices are reasonable.
