They somehow managed to combine the friendliness of a local pub with the food of a fine restaurant. Highly recommend this gem. Havent tried the pizza place nectdoor but the wood fired oven makes pizza that looks delicious. I am a beer drinker but the cocktails look great! No, its not cheap but qhat is these days?

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. I took my wife out for Valentine's Day dinner and this place had good reviews so I figured it would be a great option. However, it was absolutely terrible.

We sat down at 5:45 for our reservation. We ordered 4 oysters, mussels, and two drinks to start. The oysters were legitimately the size of a dime for $4 a piece and the mussels were so drenches in red sauce, they didn't have much flavor of their own. We saw other...read full review

We loved The Elm. Our first time and we will return whenever we are in Great Barrington. Adrian visited our table which was fun. The service was excellent. The food was outstanding: four appetizers, four main plates. And the wine list is superb. Oh, and one of us had a couple very creative cocktails. Highly recommended!
