This place was great. A small space, but the super attentive staff moves you quickly while making you feel welcomed. The pricing in the meat case was fair and the product looks great. The reach ins behind you have an above average selection of all sorts of cuts. Plenty of options for fixings and sides as well. The Boars Head Roast Beef on an exceptionally soft roll with a hefty pull made the sandwich the star of the show. I will be back. Soon.

Some friends of ours at church told us about Country Butcher. We’re a Greek family so we traditionally have lamb for Easter. This year our friends said “try their marinated lamb,It’s the best”. I couldn’t agree more. We had 12 adults and lots of kids for Easter and the consensus was the lamb was the best anyone has ever had. It was beautiful meat marinated for 72 hours - the perfect marinade. We ordered skewers which enabled me to barbecue, some rare, some medium rare and some well done for different people in the family. The consensus was this is our new Easter tradition - well done folks.

Sadly i did not take a pic to share but my sandwich was perfect. Thank you. Fresh perfectly cut thick pile of turkey on soft whole grain bread fresh lettuce and tomato. Even locally bottled beverages and my fav….cream soda!! Great stop right around the corner from the pickleball court.

they stop making deli sandwiches whenever they feel like it. The meat and seafood selection is horrendous and inconsistent. I've gone in 5 different times for a deli sandwich and have been denied 4 times.

CB makes the most amazing Italian subs! They don’t add what I call the unnecessary meats, but just the perfect amount of cold cuts and toppings. If you’ve ever had the privilege of being in Gloucester and eating at Vergilios you’ll be getting the same subs right here in Groton!

So sorry for the stars but this place is extremely small and the meat selection is even smaller. Definitely need a bigger building for this place to shine. I'm sure the quality is great but just not a great selection because your a small place.

Absolutely love their subs!! No other place compares. The meat is sliced nice and thin and is loaded!! Love it!! The prices are very reasonable. The horse radish sauce is the best!!
Very friendly staff. Helpful with cooking ideas and special orders . Meat so fresh unlike any supermarket. Never disappointed. And glad they have Boars Head deli meats.
