I paid $30 dollars for burnt ends, baked beans and mac & cheese and did not get money worth, it was more like smoked beef jerky. The Mac & cheese was dry noodles witha slice of cheese on top. The beans was tasteless hard pebbles I was sooooooooo disappointed I immediately went to purchase real burnt ends the next day 1/2 the cost nearby. Great service awful food.

I lived in Texas and the Carolinas for 7 years. First reason I avoid BBQ places is because they simply cannot compare to places like Hard Eight in Dallas, Risky’s in Ft Worth, The Pit in Raleigh; and even the chains like Dickey’s and City BBQ tend to be better. BBQ is difficult and expensive. Wildwood trying their best to be a mostly BBQ joint and somewhat granola joint at the same time.
My pulled pork and pulled chicken were both very dry and lacked seasoning. I had to smother them in sauce, but the sauce was not great. If their proteins are dry, they need a heavy vinegar based sauce, not apple cinnamon.
The potato salad was good and glad it was not mustard heavy. My beans were not great and I took most of everything to go because it was 30.00 and couldn’t toss it. Then I just tossed it anyway because it dried up to nothing in the fridge.
The sides are not great, the portions are plentiful and service was friendly. They need to add some jalapeños, onions, and pickles to the sauce bar. And sausage, where was the sausage, corn pudding, okra and tomatoes and ice cream dispenser???
Not terrible, but tough for the area when the gas station down the street serves better chicken and mac n cheese.

I have been going here for a number of years now, and the food is usually pretty good, but it has been a couple of months since the last visit and both of us ordered the burnt ends and they were horrible, the food was so dry .I usually can cut through them with a fork but today i had to saw through them with a knife, they were tough as nails and terribly dry. I asked the young lady there if these might be leftover from the day before that we we served and she went over to the cook and came back to us saying that they have had problems with the cooking device and that they were waiting for someone to come over and repair it under warranty and that the next time we come it will be better. THAT WAS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE ANSWER. If it was not working properly ,it should not be used. Your prices have risen lately and you have the nerve to cook and serve poorly prepared food knowing you have a problem. I was hungry so i ate all of mine, but she threw away a number of pieces of her burnt ends. WHY SHOULD I COME BACK HERE AFTER THIS CRAPPY EXPERIENCE,NO ONE OFFERED TO REPLACE THE MEALS FOR US WITH FOOD THAT HOPEFULLY WOULD BE COOKED PROPERLY OR MAKE AN ADJUSTMENT TO OUR ORDER FOR .The girl was very nice ,but things like this sour me on coming back again knowing that you really don't care about serving good food anymore or you would not be trying to pawn off crap like we received.

It’s been a while since returning. The ribs are tender fall of the bone and bursting with flavor. Brisket was delicious and tasty. Smoked chicken incredibly. Great flavor points. Mac and cheese good. Jambalaya excellent. Huge portions. Wonderful staff. Warm atmosphere. Nice range of options. Delicious desserts. The food is addictive and dangerous 😊

We stayed in the hotel next door and checked in a little past dinnertime. We were hungry but didn't feel like going out, so ordered some pickup from Wildwood. Delicious! We got chicken, brisket, and sides. Everything felt very fresh -- the mashed potatoes were DEFINITELY homemade and well seasoned, spinach was fresh, cornbread was moist with a nice crust, both meats were so tasty with subtle smokiness. We kept saying, "We're so lucky this place is so good!" I.e. we ordered from there because we were being lazy but the food was truly great.

I ordered BURNT TIPS.They were not cook on a grill or in the OVEN.The BURNT TIPS were dry . No flavor of any FIRE OR HIGH TEMPERATURE. MAC AND CHEESE,,FLAT MAC. AGAIN NO FLAVOR. DON'T EAT THERE OR HAVE DELIVERY. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.
