Mamma Mia's Restaurant Reviews
Family friendly and a willing to accommodate a family of 14. We were at the Carver location and had great food and excellent service.
We are visiting Plymouth and this was a restaurant that had good reviews. We were seated. Drink order taken and never saw the waitress again. Someone else brought our food out. The food is not what I ordered, I ordered penne with chicken and broccoli and I got chicken parm. Never was asked if we needed a drink refill. I had to flag down someone else for a check. We had driven 11 hours and just wanted a nice meal. Very disappointed
Hands down the best Italian restaurant and pizza, family owned for 50 years! Love it

Mamma Mia's Restaurant is a spot for Italian-American comfort food with generous portions, suitable for family dinners, takeout, or dine-in. The interior is described as beautiful and cozy, with TVs showing football, making it a place to have a couple of drinks and food while watching the game. Many find it a wonderful place to celebrate, noting the staff as nice, and plan on coming back.
Reviews on the food are mixed. Some praise is effusive, calling it "so freaking good" with amazing sauce, specifically highlighting the mamas special combo with meatballs, eggplant, and seafood stuffed mushrooms with spaghetti. Mozzarella sticks and BBQ chicken pizza are also called great. However, experiences with pizza vary significantly. Positive notes contrast with serious complaints of pizza going way down hill, being undercooked, flavorless, cut in enormous slices, or having a completely black, charcoal-tasting bottom. One location's food and service are considered just okay, with uncomfortable service described.
A specific disappointment is noted in a recent change to the Tuesday dinner for two, which switched to lunch portions with a price increase, leading some regular customers to reduce their visits. The restaurant remains a place many love and plan to return to, though some are unsure, suggesting that items other than pizza might be good.
