Mid morning all breakfast sandwiches were sold out. On line says they have croissant breakfast sandwich, but all they have is premade english muffin breakfast sandwiches. My late was good.

Cute interior with different seatings inside and outside. I recommend The Pilgrim and also there's this summer special called the American Pie Chai or something which was very sweet but pretty good. 🤪

BEST sandwiches ever! We have tried several sandwiches and all were excellent. My favorite, hands down, was the Baja Turkey!

Cute place that i like to stop by for breakfast when I am around Harwichport. They have breakfast sandwiches and pastries but also have plenty of other goodies in there. The food is always good but nothing really stand-out as I am just getting breakfast sandwiches. Will for sure be back.

I have been a regular at cape roots for over 5 years now, and I was treated soo poorly, that I am willing to never step foot in this shop ever again. I always order #4 with sour dough for my wife and #5 on wheat for me. I always call the place and come 20 minutes later to pick up my order. Today 6/2/25 I called around 12:50 PM and placed the same order I always do, I was told 10-15 minutes to pick up the food, I came in 20 minutes after the call. And all customers that came in after me, and the customers Infront of me who haven't ordered yet, got their food and I had to wait almost another 20 minutes to get my food. I paid when I got to the counter and waited for my food to be ready. After me pointing out that I ordered more than 30 minutes ago, and haven't received the food, I got looks from a couple of employees behind the counter. After I got my food, I went into my car to drive off, one of the employees stopped me saying I haven't paid yet. I had to go in again and show them the pending charge on my card and the employee that took my payment at the register almost dismissed me. I have always paid 20% tip on my take out orders, but after this big screw up I will not be coming to cape roots anymore. Good luck.
Thank you,
Sandeep (Sam)

Cool atmosphere.
Its like a coffee shop, meets a bakery, meets a grocer, meets a workbar.
The espresso was AMAZING.

This review is pertaining to (Coffee place inside of this establishment) don’t waste your time. Terrible service.
The rest of the establishment is great. Enjoy the other services they offer here.

Im sure the food is great from the reviews. Unfortunately no one wanted to help me take my order when I walked in. 3 people huddled up behind counter watching one person make a sandwich and chatting it up. I waited for a few minutes, made eye contact with employees multiple times and no acknowledgment so I walked out.

It’s a must with every trip to the cape!! Love the pastries they are amazing! The lemon poppy muffins ❤️! But you can’t go wrong with anything you purchase. We always leave with a few extras from their specialty food section as well. They make great lattes! Staff is always welcoming and love chatting with them! Thank you Cape Roots!

Very cute, and the coffee is great. I see some reviews on here saying the staff is impolite(?) but I think those people must be very entitled. Sure, the staff treats you like a customer instead of as a god, but it’s the friggin Cape. Go to the Hamptons if you need to be worshipped.
But back to the point: best coffee around. Solid baked goods too. And just a generally cute hang.
