If you can get any of the staff to acknowledge you, the food is pretty good. But that's a BIG "IF".I've been in this plane 4 times and only ordered twice. The other 2 times I watched 3 guys make 2 sandwiches for 10 minutes without so much as a nod in my direction. I guess you gotta know somebody to get a sandwich ?♂️

Love this gem in downtown Harwichport. Coffee is always very good, tea selections abound and yummy eats. The interior space is very spacious and comfortable for solo or meeting others.

The quiche is hot or miss, the avocado toast is good. It's a quiet place, they've got all sorts of goodies in the market portion. The have a sandwich counter & a breakfast counter & all sorts of desserts, croissants, juices & pastries. The sweet tea was very good. The staff was friendly when we walked in. The lady was attentive.

This is a great place to grab a specialty coffee and your favorite morning pastry. I had a coconut latte and a cranberry muffin. Latte was perfect, not overly sweet. Cranberry muffin was fresh and delicious with lots of cranberries. They have free WiFi. Sandwiches are also a hit. They make their chicken salad fresh on premises. Yum! Great friendly servers!

The woman taking our order was way more focused on talking about the weather than getting my order correct. Gave me a cold brew instead of a latte. Also, the rest of my party agreed coffee was pretty bitter, had to add extra sweetner.

Great coffee, but the breakfast sandwiches were not good. At 6 bucks a pop, I expect the English muffin to be toasted or grilled, not taken straight from the package.

Love this place! I highly recommend for a quick stop by for coffee or a bite to eat! The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly as well. I think the vibe is a little all over the place though, the market/dining area is a little confusing when people are shopping right next to you while you’re drinking coffee. Food is good but would love to see some better variety of menu items. My avocado toast was a little unimpressive. The sandwich area is definitely a great touch but would benefit from some sort of “text when ready” system. I see a lot of potential and love how Cape Roots contributes to Harwich Port so far!

The little quaint town of Harwich Port desperately needed a gourmet market like Roots and it really delivers on most points. Excellent sandwiches made fresh, a wide selection of gourmet grocery products that are unique and reasonably priced. Great selection of iced coffees, lattes, teas and other refreshing drinks. The only real complaint is the total chaos when checking out….the typical ‘one hand doesn’t know what the other hand is doing’ ( just substitute person for hand). This is something that they can easily rectify though. Looking forward to many many subsequent visits.

Stopped in to grab dinner to cook. I bought two sausages on Monday and put in fridge within 10 mins of buying. Throughout the rest of the day to Tuesday night every time I opened the fridge it smelled funky and I couldn't figure out why. I took the sausages out to cook Tuesday night and realized it was the sausage that smelled. It was so bad I threw it all out. I don't think I will be visiting again.
