Nice! Superbowl Sunday, and onr of my usual haunts won't pick up the phone. Well, now I have a new haunt. First timer to Jake Rooneys. It's been there for as far back as I can remember, but I'd never been. Fabulous, perfectly seasoned, turkey dinner special tonight, tried the barley soup, and apple crisp for dessert. I'll be back!

We enjoyed our dinner. Unfortunately the fried clams that were listed as a special and I was craving were sold out. Our server was very friendly but not as attentive as we would hope. My husband had to go find him after waiting quite a long time for him to return so we could settle our check.However my mantra these days is that I appreciate that he showed up for work!
Wow, I can't believe I have not visited this place in over 20 years. You get the best food and value for your money it's a great time and I will definitely be back next time I am visiting Harwich.

We had never been here before, and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was very good. Impressed that the mixed drinks came partially poured in a martini glass with the remainder in a small caraf on ice. The fish stew was a nice assortment of fish with a tasty broth. Plenty of cheese on the French Onion soup.
