Nice! Superbowl Sunday, and onr of my usual haunts won't pick up the phone. Well, now I have a new haunt. First timer to Jake Rooneys. It's been there for as far back as I can remember, but I'd never been. Fabulous, perfectly seasoned, turkey dinner special tonight, tried the barley soup, and apple crisp for dessert. I'll be back!
We enjoyed our dinner. Unfortunately the fried clams that were listed as a special and I was craving were sold out. Our server was very friendly but not as attentive as we would hope. My husband had to go find him after waiting quite a long time for him to return so we could settle our check.However my mantra these days is that I appreciate that he showed up for work!

What I have had off the menu was great...steak tips are awesome. The bartender Joanne is one of the BEST. Her service to the patrons is above and beyond. As for the atmosphere, everyone there is like family!!! ??
