The fish meals are under cooked many complains in the group
So I used to brag about fishtails to everyone I know but unfortunately after tonight I'm not sure anymore, so let's start: they were out of jumbo lobster which hey it happens and Yaya for the business selling out of a common item, and they were also out of ice tea which hey any business it could happen, my husband got the fishtail platter, he chose they hatfield fries (which looked more like a mix of frozen and fresh) but hey using the same fryer it happens, which they have plenty of seafood, I got the bake scallops NOT WORTH 26.99 it came with a small bowl of clam chowder and 4 small scallops fyi we're over cooked... Pay the 5 extra bucks for fishtails platter, then I wanted to get a drink, I got a honey peach daiquiri which fyi isn't a frozen daiquiri, it was pure alcohol, so strong I couldn't drink it, I paid 11 bucks for a drink I physically couldn't drink.... (In a business situation hemorrhaging that much liquor is a downfall in financial issues) Idk what happen to the fishtails we went to a year ago regularly and now it was sooo disappointing and truly is heart break to see a mom and pop good restaurant go down the drain.. I hope the new owner does something but a positive note they still have keno!

I would say, "it's your average Joe type restaurant". However, my Salmon was cooked just the way i like it! Not over cooked at all. The string beans were a bit over done to our taste. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

They were busy and so it took a little time to get service, but our server was excellent and the food and drinks were great.

Typical boomer bar with keno on every wall. Staff was all teenage boys who had the same enthusiasm for their work as they would an algebra exam.
Was swatting away flies the whole night.
Waited a good 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us to be seated. Utensils were dirty with bits of food crusted on them.
Clam chowder - very good. Not thick and very clammy without the typical overly bacond flavor. Would definitely get it again. But I asked for tobasco and they had none. Super odd for a bar - or other places will offer another hot sauce if they don't have it.
Lobster Bisque - terrible. No lobster flavor, mostly just tomato for some reason. Not worth 8 bucks for a cup at all.
The saving grace was that they know how to fry (mostly) Fish, scallops, shrimp and clam strips were excellent. However the fries sucked. Soggy without a single one being crispy. Really disappointing when it's like half the meal.
I also asked for malt vinegar- a staple of any fried seafood joint - and the kid brings me oil and balsamic for a salad.
90 bucks for 2 people, cups of soup, a beer each and then entrees. the fish tale platter was a lot of food, and worth the 32 bucks if the fries were better.
I'd go back if I were in the area and starving or out of other options. Otherwise ..meh.

Jumbo lobster. I don't call a chicken lobster a jumbo lobster. Half of bucket of steamer for 22.99.

I give up! I ordered baked scallops ( $27 dollar's). I asked the waiter if the scallops were baked or broiled? He said baked. My wife ordered fried scallops. I had the clam chowder. The chowder came. It was barely warm and the flavor wasn't for me. The scallops came. There were 4 scallops on the dish. I said to the waiter, I get 4 scallops for $27 dollar's? His response was well you got the soup and other things. I guess he was referring to the fries, green beans and coleslaw. He walked away. FYI these scallops were not baked, they were broiled. My wife got at least 15 scallops for $27 dollars. This doesn't make any sense. We have tried this place a couple of times and each time there was an issue. Today was it for me. I will never go back here again. I'm sure they could care less as the reviews for this place aren't that good anyway.
Best eatery in town if you like seafood you can't go wrong eating in or taking out it's worth the stop and they have a outstanding catering service

I've eaten there a few times and it has good quality seafood. When the patio is open and they have a guitarist the environment is amazing.

Very disappointed. We've been there before and wanted to give it another chance. We were so very disappointed. The whole belly clams were not much more then clam strips and crumbs. We don't mind paying high prices for good food and services, last night was neither. The wait staff was very unconcerned with us. We were seated and had to wait for nearly 25 min. for our server. He never came back to check on us after serving us.
I repeat VERY DISAPPOINTED !!!

Great, lunch time special prices!!! Had to choose from 4 favorites.
My husband, myself, and our neighbor traveled to Hatfield to have a fish dinner last Friday, May 17th. I ordered a baked salmon dinner, my husband had baked stuffed shrimp, and our neighbor ordered the pulled pork dinner. The baked potato was recooked, dry, and skin overly dried out. I had to ask for a lemon slice 2x and some rolls, as the amount of food was scarce. My husband's baked shrimp were tiny and fully coated with bread crumbs stuffing. Our neighbor's pork was pre-cooked, then reheated in a microwave or oven, which totally dried out the meat! To be honest, the food was horrible!:The only tasty item was the small bowl of clam chowder, but there were very few minced clams in it. We wasted $58.00 and will never, ever revisit this restaurant. They have young men as servers, who do not pay attention to detail. The owner of Fish Tale needs to get her act together by serving freshly made food, I went home hungry and ate a snack upon arriving home one half hour later. Need I say more?
