Someone told us about The Mill River Tavern, we had to go try it, I can say it’s a hidden gem in Hatfield. We first ordered a drink (great selection of beers) and had to try the pizza, we ordered all hamburger, onions and 1/2 mushrooms. The pizza was great and was out really fast. Later on the waitress came over to us with another pizza. She tells us, we made your first pizza wrong and want to know if you want this one to take home, free? We declined but were very grateful and asked if the other table (retirement party) would like it and they did. Waitress was awesome, super friendly and always checking on us. We will definitely be going back. I was watching some of the food coming out and it all looked delicious. This is just a cute little local tavern that aims to please.

Delicious pizza! Cozy atmosphere! Friendly service! We recently hosted an event at the tavern with 50+ family members and friends. Selina and her staff were kind and extremely accommodating. Wish I lived closer. I would be a regular.

Their pizza is pretty good. Last night someone was seeing with the beer and two of the meals were cold. (Pasta for the chicken parm and meatballs for the side dish). The restaurant wasn't busy enough to send out cold food. The waitress was very nice.

Had been pretty good local pizza but most recent order yesterday was just not good at all. It’s like a totally different pizza so much so that I called to see if they changed their recipe. Times are hard so it’s always disappointing to get take out on the occasion and have it be a huge let down. The pizza was not very good at all. Maybe it was an off night. I may give them one more chance in the future and consider amending my review.

We were drawn to this place based on the glowing reviews, but we did not have an experience in line with the posted reviews. The service was slow, it took almost an hour to get our pizza, and the pizza had a creamy sauce we did not care for. Maybe we had an off experience, or maybe you should come for the beer.

I've been here a few times and I highly recommend it! Fairly small so it fills up quickly once they open at 4pm. Good for a drink with a friend or family dinner out. Pizza is delicious and the garlic knots are to die for! The staff is very attentive and friendly.
Pizza was great, and so were the brussel spouts. For someone passing through this was a great place to stop for dinner. Will come back if I'm in the area.

Great place, small and tucked away, but worth the drive and even the wait for a table to free up. The bartender was great with our two young boys while we waited and the service and food was amazing when we got a table. From the Bruschetta to the pizza, it was all great. I am definitely recommending to others.
Kid-friendliness: From the bartender to our server and even other patrons everyone was great with our two boys and there were others with kids and babies eating there too. Amazing atmosphere.
