The Hill Downtown Tavern Reviews
Good niche food. Small bar with decent beer. Outside dining in season. Bartender is friendly but not garrulous. Occasional live music at the bar, but solo performances only.
Truly one of my favorite spots in haverhill. They were formerly g's were i went often. The new ownership has improved the menu and kept some fan favorites from old one.
The fish and chips had a massive amount of fries that you could share. Both of my gin drinks were so good flavor wise and the bartender Matt does a wonderful job.
My fsvorite thing has always been the mac and cheese. Their house made dessert was wonderful as well. All and all a good night.

Went to the drag brunch and it was a blast! Food was great, reasonably priced, the place itself is beautiful with the exposed brick. We will definitely be back!

The Hill Downtown Tavern is a great little place with excellent food and service. The restaurant, formerly known as G's, has new ownership that has improved the menu while keeping some fan favorites. The food is absolutely delicious, with notable dishes including fish and chips, vegetable potstickers, beer battered chicken breast with lemon pepper orzo, bacon wrapped smoked meatloaf, scallops served over rice with a dollop of a slightly spicy sauce, burgers, cheddar biscuits, mac and cheese, and truffle fries. The espresso martini is famous, and the bar is well stocked with decent beer and good gin drinks. The bartender is friendly but not garrulous. Guests can enjoy outside dining in season in a cozy alley, and occasional live music at the bar features solo performances only. Prices are reasonable and moderate. Service is great, and people are very friendly. The house made dessert is wonderful as well.
