I know I'm white but I don't discriminate & neither do the workers at Vilamar Caribbean Restaurant!!!. I go down there twice a week to visit my uncle & always stop in & the food is so great & ful of flavor...I do think even if you dont speak Spanish don't be afraid to go in & try the potato balls (mashed potatoes stuffed with seasoned chicken or ground beef & then fried to perfection) MY RECOMMENDATION BUT SAVE SOME FOR ME please!!!...
The food is pretty good. It just depends on what time you get it. The best time to get the food is lunch time and I felt uncomfortable because of the fact that I don't speak Spanish. So when I started speaking English everyone was looking at me like I was doing something wrong which is why every Spanish store should have people that speak English. Also for people like me that want to order food but don't know how to order it in Spanish
I have had takeout from here a couple times. It was always pretty good. Actually going to the location is horrifying. The place looks run down and dirty. I didn't even feel comfortable being in the parking lot nvm going in. Stick to delivery I guess.
