I think this restaurant is consistently awesome. At a recent dinner for 4, we tried 3 apps and 2 mains (3 people ordered the same special). I was very impressed by the food and thought it was excellent but my table mates are harder to please and said "pretty good." They were sad that duck was no longer on the menu, but our server explained it. Then, my two neighbors went on their own and said "awesome food." I don't think many people would be disappointed. Service is professional too.

Alma Nove is one of those places that just gets everything right. The moment you walk in, you feel welcomed — the staff is friendly and professional, and the view of Hingham Harbor is absolutely beautiful, especially at sunset. The food is consistently outstanding — fresh seafood, perfectly cooked pastas, and creative specials that never miss. You can really taste the care that goes into every dish. Whether it's a casual dinner with friends or a special occasion, Alma Nove always feels just right — relaxed, elegant, and full of heart. It's easily one of my favorite restaurants on the South Shore. Every visit reminds me why it's such a gem.

The only reason I did not give Alma Nove 1 star is because once the food arrived it was delicious. We have dined here at least a dozen times, even Christmas Eve lunch, and it was always been so good. Last night something was way off....there service model needs reviewing... no bread, no bus-boys, food delivery people who disappeared after food delivered and didn't help servers. Servers were over whelmed ( ony 2).. People dressed in all black were doing what?? there were 2 of them but they weren't helping the servers.. all was bad. I dined at Alba in LA recently and each server, each bus boy, each host, helped each table.. whether they needed a check, cleared tables not in their area, taking napkin rings each person did what they needed to make the guest experience better. etc etc.. Alma Nova could benefit with a change in their service and delivery model.. we were there for close to 2 1/2 hours,we weren't lingering.. we were trying to eat and go...The hostess came up to us and asked if we enjoyed our oysters... We didn't have oysters... EVERYTHING about service and delivery is off.. I am sorry to have had a bad experience at Alma Nove

Nice date night, good vibe. Nice wine and drink list. Had the Bolognese and a chicken tortellini marsala dish. Both very good. The beet and goat cheese, arugula, pistachio salad was excellent. Will come again

Alma Nove is my most favorite restaurant in this country. I am a summer resident living on the south shore and I try to eat at Alma Nove at least 3 times a season. My current season will end next week. I am happy i fulfilled my goal of 3 wonderful meals

We eat at Alma Nova a great deal. It is a wonderful restaurant. Last night we at out on the patio. It was a beautiful night, and very serene watching the sun set. I had swordfish which is always cooked to perfection. My husband had a pasta dish which was very good. The servers are always polite and would do anything for you. We had Emma last night and she was excellent.

Second time to Alma Nove for a special occasion of just being in town. I give five stars for the following: ⭐️ The food is incredible. It's innovative, fulfilling, appetizing, and presented beautifully. ⭐️ The atmosphere including lighting, decor, and noise level was inviting and encouraged one to stay to enjoy the meal. ⭐️ The service is what you would expect. It's excellent. People are kind and generous. ⭐️ The location is great and love the surrounding area. ⭐️ The experience is enjoyable from start to finish. Really will come back every chance I get. Thank you to Alma Nove for the wonderful opportunity to dine ❤️
my only comment is I asked if I could substitute mashed potato for fingerling potato and server said of course no problem and when I got my bill I was charged $2 extra. She never mentioned there was an extra charge to sub potato. I may not have opted to do so if I knew so that wasn't very professional and I don't feel there should be a fee to do sub potato.

Cocktails were delicious, food was fantastic. My only suggestion would be to play some music outside...would've given the outdoor seating a nice vibe.

Alma Nove is always a wonderful dining experience. Since we go during the summer, we always sit outside and the sunsets just add to the beautiful ambiance. The food is delish as are the cocktails
