Wonderful experience. The receptionist was smiling and delightful; she had a booth for us as we requested in our reservation. All the food was exceptional with generous portions. Our server was excellent and took very good care of us. Could not have had a better lunch. We will be back!

We love Legal as they have good quality food consistently. The swordfish is wonderful. I usually love the street corn side dish but this time it was pretty bad. As a second side I chose the whipped potatoes and received a tiny dollop of potato. The lobster roll was good but much smaller amount of lobster than is usual.

I think it was, perhaps, not a good day for the server. We were her first customers of the day and things were not great. I asked for iced coffee. She said it would be a problem to make it, so I asked for iced tea. No iced tea. So I ended up with hot coffee. When she brought the coffee, she brought just 2 of those little creamer cups. She brought no sweeteners. I had to ask for each. Later I had to ask to get a glass of water. When she brought rolls to accompany our lunch, she brought exactly 2 rolls on a plate. There were two of us having lunch. She seemed to be very unhappy working there and was annoyed throughout our visit despite our attempts to make things seem pleasant. I don't really have a desire to go back there.

My wife and I have no problem spending $40-$80 per plate for dinner. The problem here is that I expect the kitchen staff to put a little effort into the preparation and presentation, and not take a bong hit before reading the kitchen instruction book on how to make what is on the menu. For starters, got seated quickly on a relatively slow night, and waited 5-10 minutes to get a club soda with cranberry juice. After that the server disappeared for 10-15 minutes before taking order for appetizers. Again disappeared for long periods of time before refilling glasses. All in all food quality and service was disappointing considering what was spent. Won’t be returning.

Always a little noisy around the 5-7PM dinner slot because it is well situated in a popular Hingham, MA shopping complex, but the food is excellent, and the service is good. Overall, a good value.

We came here on Father's Day for a 5pm reservation. I assume they were understaffed because we had to wait a while to order. The waitress brought a half bottle of wine which she struggled opening and then left the bottle, not pouring a glass. When ordering the meals, they were out of popcorn and applesauce for the kids. When our meals came my father's linguine with clams came with 4 clams, 2 of which were not open so should never be eaten or served. They then were out of linguine with clams to replace his meal. Our dirty main course dishes sat on the table through dessert and paying the bill. They did end up comping two of our 6 meals but we were very dissatisfied with the whole thing.
Our server was outstanding, and a family of 3 had a wonderful Father's Day dinner. Thanks Legal you never disappoint!
