Rustic Kitchen Bistro & Bar

We've been to Rustic Kitchen in Hingham many times and are always happy with our choices. They food is excellent. We each ordered the butternut squash soup, which we've had before. Excellent. For dinner, we ordered both the haddock dinner and the scallops with mushroom risotto (my go-to), and both were great. The scallops were more tasty, but I'd eat each again.

I brought my service emotional support dog in with me whitch I have documents form Mass General Hospital proving so and this older lady with glasses and brown hair was discriminating against me and people with anxiety and people who need some emotional support and she rudely yelled at us to get up at leave and get some help. I was very upset. The hostess was very uncomfortable and knew that this lady was doing something wrong and I think this lady needs to be fired or the restaurant needs to change its protocol.

Was at Rustic Kitchen for lunch yesterday with 5 friends. Three of us ordered onion soup and three ordered butternut squash soup. Both soups were truly awful. Also ordered salads which were equally disappointing. The ice tea was not much better than water. We had eaten at Rustic Kitchen in the past and had no complaints. Is there a new chef? Did we order wrong? Perhaps so.....but we will not return!

A good interior design with many nice details. The food was delicious. The service was very friendly and great.

Fine, predictable food, a solid choice. Does it deserve to be for our family the fall-back if we can't be seated at Burton's Grill in the same mall, and the Legal Seafood prices seem too much of a stretch? Maybe. A note on seating: esp for outdoors during nice weather, the place has almost looking-down-nose Hingham-ness if you try to have only some of your party standing right there. You've dropped off curbside and your final person will park and join you? No. You may not be seated until the driver is there too. It's almost as if you've been accused of trying to pull a fast one..."hah! We're in to you!"

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very warm and inviting. Usually when restaurants try to create a warm atmosphere they fall short, this place does not. The food is great too. The menu is not overwhelming and the quality is good to great.

Nice place. They don't have a hundred dishes on the menu, but whatever is on there, is pretty good. Good portion size. Great service!

Wonderful menu, need to go back and try other items. From appetizers to salads to entries, all I can say is once you try it, you keep coming back. Sat at the bar and the service was awesome!

Stars are for the food only. We went this past Saturday afternoon for a late lunch around 4pm. Not busy at all. I can count the other parties outside on one hand (gorgeous day). We don't go out to eat a ton because of my busy toddler who was with us. There were times he was yelling which is annoying for everyone, we got him to stop pretty quickly. However the entire time staff was giving us dirty looks because of that. It's already embarrassing enough, we don't need looks like that. It didn't help that service was extremely slow (? Not busy). We were seated with no menus or specials list. Got menus after sitting for 15 minutes and no specials list still. Drinks took forever too. Finally the waitress comes back with drinks and takes our order. I ask about a salad with strawberries that I overheard another person ordering and hear “oh yea the specials!” Nope didn't get that list. My boyfriend got steak tips. Food comes out finally and the waitress is coughing up a storm, hopefully not on the food. Steak tips were just ok. My salad was good with only a small amount of chicken but not worth $19. Had the service been faster, maybe my toddler wouldn't of gotten so irritated. This was a great place 5 years ago but I definitely won't be back anytime soon. Overpriced and subpar.

Enjoyed a lite lunch business meeting, good food and attentive service, you can either dine in the lounge or the dining room. There is a full bar if you are so inclined. Try this establishment you I am confident you will enjoy
