All tea drinks are quite small and cost $4. Apparently refills are not included. I did not know this and kindly asked for a refill and was rudely told by a manager that I would have to buy another drink. This is a good location for me so I had gone here regularly for a while even though the food was bland, but after this experience I will not return.

Absolutely love this Tatte location! The food is always beautifully made and fresh, the croissant breakfast sandwich and shakshuka bagel were both incredible. Their drinks are perfectly balanced (the iced grapefruit mint tea is a must!). The atmosphere is cozy and bright, perfect for a slow brunch or getting some work done. Staff were super friendly and everything came out quickly even during a busy morning. Definitely one of my favorite brunch spots in Hingham!

The food selection is great. It's a bit hectic for a relaxed cafe experience but YMMV.

I feel like this spot is for just deceiving people to get their money, 3 small meatballs for $18 is very overpriced. It was not tasty at all. Just a waste of money!

Ordered a delivery order 11am on 10/10/25 and was missing 2 tiramisu. The lady I spoke with on the phone was not empathetic at all, no accountability. Told me with an attitude to contact doordash. What I wanted to hear was that they would talk with the team to fix this for next time because it's happened more than once. I'm a manager at another establishment so I know how it gets when it's busy. It's unacceptable to forget part of someone's order and be so condescending about it. The customer service on the phone was beyond disrespectful. I expect better for next time. I wish I had gotten her name but I'm sure I'll be calling back to chat with the manager like she suggested.

I'm delighted that there is now a Tatte on the south shore. Today, a Sunday, we stopped there at 4:30 p.m. Closing time, 7 p.m., so 2 & 1/2 hours before closing. More pastries, desserts were already sold out than were abailable. Staff had already begun the closing routine; the one woman in closest proximity to where customers line up was annoyed to be interrupted from clean up to box an order for 2 desserts. Oh so very Hingham.

Been there double-digit number of times, for both breakfast and lunch.

I love the food, and the space is beautiful. I’ve had a bunch of things from the menu, and all of it has been great. And the coffee is outstanding.

Counter service varies. Depending on who’s working, you may be greeted with genuine warmth and friendliness, or with the kind of aloofness that borders on indifference.

A couple of suggestions though.

1) The plates provided with breakfast pastries are too small, and almost always result in a “crumby” mess at my table. Switching to a larger plate would immediately make a good experience even better.

2) The pecan-cinnamon muffin/pastry (I forget the name) has a wrapper on it that totally sticks to the product. Virtually impossible to get off neatly and cleanly. Either bag those or swap them for something that doesn’t stick. Problem solved.

3) Provide forks/knives/spoons at the condiment station. Some of the foods are much easier to eat if you cut them up.

Aside from these minor “grievances”, Tatte is a very welcome addition to the Hingham dining scene.

Nice spot for coffees, a small bite, or lunch. Fast service. The lunch food was very good. Had the short rib bowl and it was a healthy portion and very tasty. Good selection. Good coffees. Lots of seating to have a casual or business meeting.

Visited at 6:30 on Saturday, September 13.

Over all I’m between 3.5-4 stars. The food was tasty, but could easily have been better with some light touches.

The short rib grilled cheese should really have “beet” in the name because it kind of dominates the flavor. Also, why do some cafes feel like sandwiches are complete with a scoop of each component squared in the middle of the sandwich such that the edge has an inch all the way around of just bread? The bread was good and well-grilled. Just wish the short rib and beet horseradish was spread out.

We got the chicken vegetable soup and it was a great flavor, but it was unfortunately lukewarm. The roll that came with it was good.

We also got the ham and cheese quiche. The flavor was excellent, but it was wetter than I like. Not quite soupy egg, but pretty wet. But the flavor was really good. The pickled cabbage salad was very good, if not kind of small.

The atmosphere is okay, kind of an old hospital vibe. Plenty of seating. Have to use plastic cups for water, which I am beginning to really not appreciate. Everything else was reusable. Why not the cups?

Overall, I will be back because I want to try the London Fog.

This was my first time trying tatte and it did not disappoint. Solid bakery items cooked in-house, lots of amazing different options. I got the strawberry turnover and it was very flavorful, I could imagine getting anything though and not be disappointed. We got the lamb plate to split and the portion was smaller than I had hoped, but tasted really good. It came with hummus, baba ghanoush, pickled onions, carrots, and cauliflower as well as a yogurt sauce. They had zaatar pita bread too which hit. This place overall seems like an awesome spot to chill, get some work done, or grab a quick coffee or bite to eat. Much better than the Panera that was here before this opened.

Disappointed that at 7AM the baked goods are cold. Are they baked off site and shipped in? There is a kitchen at the Derby St location - can’t you bake some stuff there? The atmosphere and service at Tatte are wonderful. It would be so nice for the pastries to be fresh.
