My husband tried this place for the first time today and had a terrible experience. He ordered a $16 plate and handed the cashier a $50 bill. She only gave him $4 back and insisted he gave her a $20. When he showed her another $50 from his wallet to explain, she just shook her head and refused to acknowledge the mistake.
On top of that, the food was awful he took one bite and said it tasted spoiled, like it had been reheated from days ago. Between the money issue and the rotten food, we won’t be coming back.

The food in this place is pretty good can't complain, the service is okay, But this restaurant do not have set prices, even their menu don't say what they charge. today i bought a small plate of food, a bottle of water and a empanadilla de carne and was charged 20$, also because they do not have set prices, their prices always go up, even if you are buying the same thing every day, every day their prices are different, so if you buy the same thing make sure to grab a receipt so you can have that as evidence, of their unstable prices.

This was the first Latino Restaurant I tried and have been a loyal patron since. The location changed since my last visit but the service and quality has not. It has a very welcoming vibe and delicious food. Highly recommend!

I used to go here when I was a child with my grandparents, I was born and raised in Holyoke. It was called Fernandez at that time now it is known as La isla which means in English The Island , the food is absolutely amazing it's exactly what I would expect in a latin restaurant the price is fantastic and you can also oder for parties 🥳 🎉 I absolutely love this place and will always come back to my roots.

To be my first time in that town of Holyoke!!! I loved the food, the lady who served us was very good with her service. We arrived missing nothing to close everything, the food was very good!!! God bless her and her restaurant too I already have somewhere to go back to when I return to Holyoke

Food was amazing, flavorful and big portions. The venue was bright and clean and the service from the women working there was above and beyond. When asking for plantains which they sold out of, their staff made a fresh order to go to accommodate. Highly recommend and will def be going back!
