I’ve been going to Schermerhorn’s for 30 years and it’s always great seafood at a great price. I’m a big fan of restaurants where you pay and order first and then sit down. Cool that they’re renovating the place can’t wait to see what it looks like.
If you want authentic New England seafood in a rustic setting, then Schermerhorns is a great place. We were there for lunch and the portions were generous and prices were reasonable.
I'd been looking forward to going for a while but it was not what I expected. The food was ok, prices were reasonable and the service was good. I was surprised the deck seating was right on the street so it was hard to carry on a conversation.
