Arrived in Ipswich, Massachusetts super late. Riverview was the only place open and it had amazing reviews. Headed that way, ordered a pizza and a local cider while waiting. The service was so very good, the cider amazing, the atmosphere ?. The reviews are spot on and I highly recommend. The only reason I give 4 stars for the pizza I love doughy pizza (my personal choice). Their pizza (to my husband's delight) had a regular crust.
Riverview is an unstoppable institution, thanks to an incredible recipe, reliable and steady service, and a relaxed, homey atmosphere of your friends cabin. Oft packed- and for good reason.
I recommend getting your pizza the old way- where the cheese is under the sauce- it's an entire experience.
My personal recommendation is an old way pepperoni.
