Went there for the NYE party. Good drinks, fun karaoke. Went up to the bar after purchasing two cocktails and asked for a cup of water, and they told me they only sell bottled water. I have never been to a bar that refuses to serve free tap water. You would think they would be happy to keep their patrons hydrated for safety reasons but I guess not?
Love da boat ⛵

Sep 2024:
For bar food, it was great. The fried ravioli was delicious and perfectly crispy. The fries were evenly cut and fresh, and the burgers were decent for a bar. The local drinks were a nice touch as well.

Most poor reviews are people not wanting to pay for water and claims of racism but they have several hispanic employees hmm? Food is very good. Treat the bartenders right and they'll do the same. Buy some water.
Not impressed with how they treat customers. I called ahead of time and asked the bartender if they would be playing the WNBA Suns game at 5pm. They said yes. I asked if they would have the sound on and I got another yes.
Guess what?
I got there and they wouldn't put the sound on. The only other people there were women from a flag football league. They were all fine with having the sound on. Excuses I got "we only put sound on for local teams" the Suns are the local WNBA team. Then it was "but we're open to the public" as if it would be embarrassing to have a new customer walk in and find a playoff basketball game on in a sports town like Boston. I ended up missing the first quarter of the game but Dani's Queer bar had the game and sound on and I'm so glad I watched it there instead.
Food was great. Bar tender was terrible! We were there for the open mic comedy night which is through RANDOM PICKS OUT OF RAFT BOX. As soon as the host noticed that we were a large group he asked for the name and just kept the card for the WHOLE NIGHT! Just so they could keep us around until the end of the night! That was a terrible experience! We could’ve definitely hung around after our friends set but the fact that they played us to stay just shows the type of people who run this business.

Awesome Pub and grill, the bartender was very attentive and the locals were very welcoming. A comedian by the name of Pierre made great conversation right off the back and welcome us in.

I came for trivia, drinks and bar food. This bar would be perfectly fine except for the fact that they WILL NOT SERVE TAP WATER, instead offering plastic bottles of water for $1.50! Who does that?? I am shocked it is not against the law to serve food and alcohol without tap water for free but here we are. Apparently every other sit down restaurant, bar, and coffee shop I’ve ever been to in MA has been just doing it on good will. Shame these guys did not get the memo to be normal good guys. So disappointing.

April 20th, 2024: It should be noted that this establishment does NOT serve WATER. I kid you not… They’ll only sell you bottled water at a premium. This is the first time in 30 years I’ve patronized a bar that won’t give you a glass of water after ordering 50 dollars worth of food & alcohol.I spoke to the owner (Hank) regarding the policy and he was incredibly rude & almost proud of it. He said it was “the way of the future”.Well in the very near future (Monday morning) I’ll be reporting this to the city of Boston as I believe it’s unlawful to deny paying customers (or human beings in general) a simple glass of tap water. Pure greed, in such an inhumane fashion…

One of the best local pubs I’ve been to flying out of Logan stopped to visit. My niece came to Jeannie’s ordered some food but the grill was not on the owner. Hank said if you’ll be here a while, I’ll fire it up and cook for you. it doesn’t get any better, the food is fantastic as well as the selection of adult beveragesCan’t wait to stop back gotta try the chili. Thanks Hank

The owners have quoted that they ACTIVELY refuse to serve tap water for free. THEY REQUIRE you pay for bottle water. Thinking patrons drinking don’t deserve to be hydrated. Bar tenders have been threatened to be fired if they serve tap water for free.
