Today I went with my parents to Jake’s! They used to go there before I was around, but this was my very first visit.

I get a little nervous when I go somewhere new, but the humans there helped calm me down with my very first puppy cup.

Wow. Bacon and whipped cream! I had never tried that before and it was sooo good. My tail was wagging the whole time.

My mom got an avocado cream cheese everything bagel and said it was delicious. My dad had coffee with a sausage and egg sandwich, which he also said was delicious. My humans looked very happy with their food.

If you’re a dog like me, bring your humans here. The food is great (but the best part is making a cute face and getting a puppy cup).

Thank you, Jake’s Java team! I’ll definitely be back… mostly for the puppy cups.

Great customer service and yummy food and drinks. I loved the chocolate 🍫 covered strawberry 🍓 latte.. 🤤
I also feel good supporting the mission. Remembering Jake Galliher and the Gundham 22 . 🙏🇺🇸

The best coffee in the area. The best breakfast in the area and it’s not even close. Everything tastes so fresh and the bagels, THE BAGELS, absolutely love them. I would buy them all in an instant. Not to mention the story and the meaning of the building and shop itself. Jake was the most remarkable person, and I’m sure the rest of the Gundam 22 were as well. Between the morals, the food, and the coffee, this is the perfect business to support when craving breakfast or a quick caffeine pick me up

I’d heard such great things about Jake’s Java, but the two times I’ve gone have both been really disappointing. This time, I ordered a latte and literally got a cup of steamed milk with no espresso at all. On top of that, my food came out with a blonde hair in it, which was honestly the final straw. I really wanted to like this place, but after two bad experiences, I don’t think I’ll be back.

I’ve been a regular at Jake’s Java for quite a while now, and I felt it was important to share an accurate perspective. This is a small, Gold Star family–owned business with one of the most dedicated teams you’ll ever meet. There aren’t “five or six” employees running around at once; in reality, they’re lucky to have that many people on the entire payroll. Most days you’ll see two, maybe three hardworking staff members doing everything: taking orders, cooking, running the drive-through, and connecting with customers.

Jake’s Java isn’t fast food, and it’s not trying to be. Everything here is made by hand, made with care, and made with pride. That means sometimes you’ll wait a bit longer than a chain restaurant, but what you get is fresh, quality food instead of something rushed out of a microwave. It’s worth it every time.

This café is also a meaningful part of our community. The owners are a Gold Star family who created Jake’s Java as a place to honor the memory of Gundam 22, support veterans, and bring people together. They take the time to talk with locals, share their story, and make the atmosphere feel like home. They show up for community events, support local causes, and treat everyone who walks in like family.

If you’re expecting the kind of rushed, assembly-line speed you get at big national chains, that’s not what Jake’s is about. Their food is made fresh, by hand, and with care — and they still manage to run an efficient counter and drive-through while doing it. What you’ll find here isn’t “fast food,” it’s good food, crafted by a small team that puts pride, heart, and community into every order. If you want quality, authenticity, and a local business with real purpose behind it, Jake’s Java is absolutely worth supporting. I couldn’t think of a better place to spend my money.

You will be missed when we leave.
As for my followers, stayed tuned for new reviews in Upstate South Carolina once I get settled in 😎

It's okay for a quick bite. Coffee was really good.Took quite a while to get our food and it wasn't busy at all. Disappointing that they use egg beaters for the wraps and the only put essence of bacon instead of a couple of strips.

This place is absolutely amazing — from the food and drinks to the staff and atmosphere. It has such a beautiful purpose and meaning behind it, which makes it even more special. The staff are incredible — they work so hard and consistently provide top-quality food and drinks, even during the busiest hours. It’s no surprise this place gets packed on weekends, but what’s truly impressive is how fast and efficiently they still get everything out.

The absolute BEST breakfast sandwiches around!! The staff is attentive and truly care about every visitor. The coffee, especially the cold brew, are hands down the best around.

Great flavor, you absolutely have to try their cold brew! It's out of this world good. We totally recommend trying anything on the menu.

Cute place but they forgot to put in my order so it took 45 minutes for my breakfast sandwich to get made. Everyone who we saw there waited a long time for their items (5-10 mins for drinks, 10-15 for food) and I couldn't figure out why. It looked like 5 or 6 employees were working there and I only saw about 10-15 customers in the time we were there but each order still took 10+ minutes to come out. The food was good, don't get me wrong, but it's an egg and a bagel, it shouldn't take 45 minutes to make. Luckily they had some games and stuff to keep us occupied while we waited but ultimately I wouldn't go back.
