This restaurant is amazing! The food is glorious - every bite is flavorful - whether you are dipping into a side dot of a "gelee" or eating your carrots. Every morsel is prepared so beautifully - even if you previously weren't a fan of a particular flavor or ingredient, this chef makes it sing. The menu is carefully put together to feature local ingredients and the Fruita and vegetables are meticulously chosen for the perfect ripeness. Every person in my party has very different preferences in their food and all of us were delighted with our choices. While the food is wonderful, what makes this restaurant a "must visit" on your list is the team- I have chosen this restaurant 3 times for recent special occasions and have gotten to see everyone work in concert with one another so that our service was flawless- at no time did we ever have an empty glass or wonder about an ingredient without having someone seamlessly pop by to ask - and they always knew the answer. I would specifically call out Jenny and Jamaica. They remembered us on a repeat visit and both genuinely welcomed us back making us feel very special. The restaurant, while elegant and beautifully furnished also gives the vibe of feeling warm and cozy - as you can tell, this restaurant is tops of my list. Every step of the visit was outstanding- what a difference to the visits of the past.

Found this from online reviews and decided to try and was very happy we did. From the service to the food, you got the feeling that they really cared and delivered beyond. The servers and host were so genuinely friendly, interested, and timing was perfect, I was very impressed. And then each course was a true pleasure, delicious, surprising, and interesting flavor combinations, cooked to perfection. It was our 15th anniversary which I had written in our opentable reservation and they made sure to make it special for us above and beyond. From a fancy meal in the Berkshires at a very cool resort-like setting, I'd recommend trying it.

It's a lovely location with a great view. The service is first rate and the food is good but not extraordinary. I thought the Duo of duck was excellent, the corn velote was fine but not great. The amuse bouche was OK except for the one thing that had curry in it, I hate curry but that's a personal preference.

the food was outstanding however it took us more than 20 minutes to actually find the building the restaurant was in. We found the parking lot (in small print on sign) however didn't know which building of the complex to find the restaurant. Calling the telephone number did not help

The Miraval is a beautiful property and the 1894 restaurant has a great vista. Our waiter was attentive, personable, and sweet. The price fixe menu was reasonably priced; we really enjoyed our meal and overall experience. I recommend!

We had a wonderful meal at 1894. I have to admit we were a bit worried that we might find the restaurant pretentious but nothing could have been less true. From the moment we walked in the front door, everyone was so warm and welcoming. The setting is gorgeous and, as the first to arrive that evening, we had the dining room to ourselves for a bit, which we really enjoyed. But once it filled up, the noise level was fine and the level of service didn't change at all. The food was spectacular--from the amuse bouche to dessert, and every course in between--we loved it all. Highly recommend the duck and bison but truly, everything was delicious. One of us had the wine pairing and it was creative (really loved the Portuguese port and tonic water although I generally don't like either!) and each wine complemented the food very well. Cannot say enough good things about the service--attentive in just the right way, knowledgeable and so friendly. A delightful experience and we look forward to coming again. Thank you!

We we're a party of 4. Delicious food with fantastic wine pairing. Jenny, Jamaica and the entire team were all very welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. We couldn't be more impressed with the culinary teams skill, food preparation and execution. Will definitely be back to dine soon with more friends who love great food.

very creative, beautifully presented food that was excellent in taste. The service was outstanding, and the flexibility offered to accomodate my wife's food restrictions was very appreciated. Jenny the hostess made us feel very welcomed whe we arrived, during our meal, and a warm goodbye. We will return again.

A delightful dining experience form start to finish. Excellently prepared food, beautiful presented, carefully selected wines and knowledgeable waitstaff. All in a gorgeous finely crafted 1894 mansion on a hill. A special treat for those special occasions.

Service was outstanding, extremely attentive and friendly. Price was a bit high with the prefix menu since we did not drink, but would recommend if you've never tried it. Definitely a nice experience.

Thanksgiving dinner 2022...overpriced fixed menu at $80 per person even if you bring a child thats 6 year old...fish dish came in cold, had to wait very long in between appetizer and main meal. Service was mediocre, had to repeatedly ask for the same thing like olive oil or for someone to light up the candle. For $330 plus tip you would expect a 5 star experience, unfortunately this place disappoints with rushed food, poor service and lack refinement expected from such place.

Service and good were wonderful. Ambience is sterile and depressing and efforts to align with the “miraval” brand has meant a complete lack of continuity with the history or aesthetic of this great historic “Cottage”. It's a shame.

We were celebrating a birthday. Everything was perfect! Julie at the bar made the perfect cocktails, Sarah and Jamaica were amazing in the dining room. The food looked like it belonged in magazines. Everything was delicious! 1894 was amazing - we will be back!

Beautiful room in the guided age “cottage”. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The wine pairings were nice and accommodating to one non-red drinker. The food was delicious and with lovely presentation. I had the lamb, perfectly prepared and with a nice sauce my husband had the duck and was also pleased. You should go in hungry because by the time four courses are finished, you will be quite full!
