The food was decent! Service isn't bad and the atmosphere is incredible. Although my son applied to work as a server (he's been in the fine dining industry as a bartender/server for 3 years). The manager whose name I don't know completely disgusted my son when he called and asked about working at Alta.

We went to Alta for our 42 anniversary and it was well worth it. I had the duck and my wife had the swordfish. Both were excellent. The host/owner was very accommodating when we wanted to switch our reservation from inside to outside. Our waiter Trevor was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine recommendations. A great experience.

Had our anniversary dinner here and loved the food, service, and the very dog friendly staff, especially our waitress Emma. She is super sweet, attentive, brought out a bowl of water for our dog, and surprised us with complimentary macarons for our special day. The hummus, Mediterranean salad were delicious and the flight of white wine pared well with the salmon. The roasted pork cheeks are tender and delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely dinner while visiting the scenic town of Lenox with its beautiful Berkshire Botanical Garden, Ventfort Gilded Age Mansion and of course, the famous Tanglewood venue nearby.
We were graciously greeted by the host and very good server.
For dinner we enjoyed - Mediterranean salad and Foie Gras to start.
For entrées, I enjoyed the seared Duck and hubs enjoyed the Fettuccine pasta. Both were accompanied by excellent wine recommendations that complimented the cuisine.
To finish for dessert we had the Chocolate Mi-Cuit and ice cream for my birthday celebration.
One of my all time favorite restaurants!!! Never disappoints! Our server Denise C last evening was fantastic. The service is remarkable and treats their patrons very well.

Back again summer 2024. Firstly, this is a great choice within the Lenox area. Unfortunately, the halibut was non-desccript, yet the overall experience was enjoyable.

Don’t get me wrong, the manager and staff are wonderful, so this is about the main courses served on 7/1/18. My stripe bass was 3/4 oily dark meat. Was sent back. My wife had the trout...bland.
