We fell in love with Bistro Zinc, and will return every time we're in Lenox. The food is extraordinary, with fine attention to detail. The bread was remarkably delicious and perfectly warmed. The entrees were remarkably delicious, as well; perfectly prepared. Staffers are very good at their jobs, and helpful with smart suggestions. Diners can opt to dine in the more casual bar area, or in the more formal dining room. We chose the latter, and enjoyed everything about our meal: the atmosphere, the meal, the drinks, and the dessert. THIS is the place for a fine meal on Church Street in Lenox. You'll be glad you chose to dine here. We were!

Excellent place for dinner! We had the chicken franchise and the pork chop, both were wonderful, cooked perfectly and very large portions. The place is charming and the staff is friendly and efficient. The prices are on the high side but so is the quality. The only slightly negative thing is that the tables are so close, you feel like you are dining with the people next to you. If they removed one table along the wall, there would be a little more privacy.

Wow, the food, service and atmosphere are absolutely amazing! I had the beef Bourguignon was phenomenal, as was bibb salad that my hubby and I split. Such a nice, relaxing atmosphere. And the peanut butter sandwich cookies - which were complimentary were to DIE FOR - flaky and delish!!

We were delighted with the food at Zinc Bistro in Lenox. There's a modest but nice selection of cocktails and wine including a few unusual house offerings which were very good. The fried oyster appetizer featured oysters that were simply the best we have ever tasted, remarkably light and tasty. We don't know how the pork was prepared but it was not only delicious, it was so moist and seasoned perfectly. The chicken francese was light and savory and served with excellent mashed potatoes. The service was great and we must add that the entire meal was very affordable. All in all, one of the best meals ever!

We sat at their bar and had some strong drinks and dinner. French onion soup was delish my Zinc burger came out perfectly cooked at medium. My wife had a wonderful house salad with all the toppings.

Bistro Zinc did not quite meet our expectations. While the eggplant lasagna was good, the trout was exceedingly tart and lemony, green beans not seasoned. Profiteroles for dessert were very good. Atmosphere is noisy, and tables so close together you feel as if you are dining with the people next to you. No chance at a private dinner conversation. Service was very good. will probably not return.

Early this Spring, while touring through Europe again, I dined in Paris at the 2-Star Michelin restaurant Le Clarence, long regarded as a temple of haute cuisine where the meal was technically impressive, but also curiously sterile. No more than a month later, I dined at Bistro Zinc, one of my long standing favorite restaurants in the Berkshires- and it made me rethink about dining experiences altogether. I reflected back even further, when I first moved to NYC and systematically visited all of Zagat’s highest ranked restaurants. I do love a good meal and they were all pretty spot on. And sure, the waitstaff at a Michelin restaurant always makes me feel like a movie star but the cost on the final bill reflects that …so that part is to be expected. But here’s the real question ….why do I keep returning to Bistro Zinc? Honestly, the cooking here is not only superior to Le Clarence—it is more thoughtful and ultimately more delicious. Each dish reflects an instinct for flavor that is rare even among the world’s most celebrated kitchens. But Zinc’s excellence does not end at your palate. The restaurant’s environment is curated with a precision that mirrors the plethora of options on the menu. An extensively considered revolving art collection adorns the walls, transforming the dining room into a gallery of modern taste. Guests are also treated to genuine comfort, as they are seated in the recognizable Design Within Reach leather chairs in the iconic Hermes saddle color. Seriously, wood & flat vinyl cushion $100 chairs simply do not compare to $2200 pieces of art that recline. These details encapsulate the owner’s meticulous eye for design, vision and comfort. This is not extravagance for its own sake—it is the creation of a complete, harmonious experience. Hearing other guests complain about the prices being $1 or $2 more than other restaurants is ridiculous in my opinion, as this restaurant gives back in abundance in so many ways: Free genuine French bread served HOT (that costs $10 everywhere else nowadays) plus the thoughtful gift of freshly baked little delicious peanut butter cookies as you leaves makes you feel special. “TASTE” in every sense of the word is why Bistro Zinc always keeps me coming back for more!

The food was absolutely wonderful, and the service was great. The salads were very well prepared and seasoned, the main course was over the top, drinks were expertly prepared, overall, a fabulous time, highly recommend.

I recently celebrated my 50th birthday at Bistro Zinc and it did not disappoint. The owner could not have been more accommodating when planning the evening and menu for me and my family. The lobster rolls and burgers are always a favorite but the appetizers and amuse bouche sent out from the kitchen were just as delish. The service is wonderful and the pear martini is worth the trip (on the rocks).

My husband and I enjoyed our seafood dinner here, with well-paced service and lovely details such as fresh baguette to begin and surprise peanut butter cookies to finish. Mirrors on all walls made it a rather "see and be seen" experience. This was not a youthful clientele, but a rather staid one; not much laughter was going around the room.

Fantastic Dinner! I loved this restaurant. Had a great feel, great ceiling, comfortable, and although full, the tables were spaced nicely from each other. Pleasant, accommodating server that made excellent recommendations. Great Kettle One martini with lots of olives as requested. Hot, fresh bread and soft butter. Delicious fried oysters, and the short rib dumplings were special. I had the pork chop — good size, perfect medium, juicy and nicely/simply seasoned. Scallops looked delicious. Veggies fresh - perfectly cooked asparagus. Three deserts for the 5 of us … chocolate dessert was yum! Coffee ice cream good too. Third dessert was some sort of crumble just okay. Good coffee. Good value in my opinion.

We love Zinc! For a restaurant that’s been a staple in Lenox for 26 years, it continues to get better and better—no small feat in the world of dining. The service, the food, the space, and the fantastic art collection make it our go-to spot every time."

Loved the atmosphere & decor. We sat in the bar area. Art work is eclectic & amusing. Martinis were icy cold & exactly as we ordered. The hot complimentary baguette was spot on. Entrees & dessert did not disappoint.

It was so nice to see Alex at the bar yesterday evening. He makes the best Cosmos! If you haven’t tried one yet, order one when he’s there.

We had the most wonderful meal at Bistro Zinc in Lenox, MA. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed — including our service animals — which meant a lot. The service was exceptional: attentive, kind, and genuinely thoughtful.

The food was absolutely incredible. The salmon burger was outrageous, and the crispy goat cheese salad was delicious — perfectly done. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

We were truly greeted with that special Berkshire kindness. Bistro Zinc is a place I’ll absolutely return to — a standout gem in the area.
