Dulu Café is HANDS-DOWN one of the most charming spots I’ve ever stumbled upon. Tucked inside the luxurious yet whimsical Doctor Sax House in Lenox, it feels like you’ve stepped into another world—one where everything slows down and all your senses come alive.
From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere wrapped around me like a warm hug. The soft lighting, cozy seating, and quiet buzz of conversations made it feel intimate without being stuffy. It’s the kind of place where you could bring a date or just spend hours lost in your thoughts over a good book and a perfect glass of wine.
The food is nothing short of exceptional. They have this way of making every dish feel special, like it was made just for you. I had the seasonal risotto with steak, and I swear every bite sank me deeper and deeper into completely euphoria. The cocktails are just as memorable—beautifully crafted and bursting with flavor without being too fussy. The "Sax & The City" reminded me of home in NYC but so much I was ready to hurry back. I don't think I ever wanted to leave.
What really sets Dulu apart, though, is the care they put into everything. From the friendly, knowledgeable staff to the small details like local artwork on the walls, games like chess that remind me of my youth - it’s clear this place is run with love. It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience. If you’re ever in Lenox, don’t think twice about visiting Dulu Café. You’ll leave with a feeling of being apart of the community, a happy heart, and a memory you’ll keep coming back to.

Very cute restaurant with unique, intimate seating options. Not a large menu, but all the food was good. Good stop for drinks and light fare and nice for socializing.
Modern swanky speak easy style with great food, attentive staff and nice acoustics live music. Simple sophisticated food offerings as well as chicken strips!

Wow. Just wow. Trust me, please. The 1st thing you’ll notice is the home’s size. The 2nd is the soft jazz through the yard as it draws you to the porch. Walk in expecting a simple lunch or purveyed dinner & receive an eye-full of spectacular interior. Bryce, our bartender, was wonderful, warm, & kind. Thank you. We joined on a crisp fall day. You’ll want to bring your lover, your grandmother, & your design journal. The space makes you feel like you can & should speak a little softer. You’ll relax into the leather. Consider those dreams you so quickly forget. The chicken club for lunch was just perfect. Every bite was lovely. Can we replicate this in Chicago? Haha, only time will tell. Again, thank you for bringing your restoration dreams to life as our lunch wishes came true.. here at the Doctor Sax house.

Had the smallest waffle I've ever seen - slightly bigger than the palm of my hand which is outrageous for $17. And the waffle was barely warm. Service was sluggish.

Wow, Dulu in the Berkshires is the place to be! In the morning, the smell of fresh bacon and coffee will drive you wild. Excellent service and delicious menu. But at night, it’s a site to be seen. The bar tending staff is just lovely. The cocktails are unique and epic. The ambiance and decor is just absolutely gorgeous. That fireplace in the bar, wow! You can not compare to anything else. Straight up elegant and classic. By not visiting this restaurant, you’re truly missing out on quite the experience. I felt like I was in a movie! Such a romantic night but also perfect for a girls night. Shoutout to the owners we’ve met them and they are super cool!!
Kid-friendliness: Family friendly!
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair / stroller accessible into the restaurant.

What can I say? This place is *everything*. As a local, I love coming here because they serve delicious food and drinks while also being very allergy conscious, plus the people here cannot be beat.
They also went above and beyond for the after-party that they hosted for my sister's wedding last weekend. Everything was perfection. The vibes, the food, the drinks -- people are still talking about their picture perfect espresso martinis and the amazing chicken tenders. Everyone had an incredible time, across all age groups. My parents' friends and younger cousins all had a blast thanks to the artful, curated layout that allows for both intimate conversations and an awesome dance space with DJ Soren (who absolutely crushed it).
Thank you again to Kelly, Myra, and the amazing Dulu team!

I have just one word: WOW! I got married in Lenox this past weekend and had my after party at Doctor Sax and it wildly exceeded all my expectations. Kelly (the owner) and Myra were so attentive and really took the time to understand what we wanted. And they planned EVERYTHING. From a cocktail list, to snacks, lighting, music (INCLUDING AN AMAZING DJ-DJ Soren)—the vibes were out of this world.
It takes a special place run by incredible people to create an event that appealed to a group of 50+ people ranging in ages from 21-60+. And everyone had the best time drinking their incredible espresso martinis and aperitas (I mean honestly, those drinks were my favorite drinks of my entire wedding weekend), eating the amazing snacks including gluten free chicken tenders that I’m still dreaming about (seriously, they are so good), and dancing the night away.
The best part was that there was something for everyone. Dancing in the huge side area, tables for chatting, even a room with a cozy fireplace with chess and comfy couches. The staff was friendly, helpful and so quick to help all of our guests. Even at the end of our entire wedding weekend, our guests were still raving about the night at Doctor Sax House.
This place is perfect for an afternoon drink, late night hangout, large event, brunch… they do it all. Don’t think, just go and experience it! You won’t be disappointed!
Dietary restrictions: They had so many options for those of us with dietary restrictions! Be sure to try their gluten free chicken nuggets!

During our stay at Doctor Sax House, we visited Dulu a few times for light bites and drinks. We enjoyed the chicken strips, berries and cream, waffles, and summer caprese salad, and, overall, loved everything! The sidecar and mocktail we tried were both amazing. Everything was reasonably priced and fresh. Highly recommend for a satisfying and enjoyable experience!

Highly recommend the charcuterie and skirt steak! Don’t forget their signature cocktails. One of the best Manhattans I’ve had in a long time.
Be sure to check out their weekly events for live music, comedy, and more!
