Great meal in an even better location. The Space is elegant and intimate with 10ish tables in a dining room with a large fire place. The waiter was attentive and the space had great Attention to detail.

Went to Table 6 last night as part of a 25th anniversary weekend celebration (we stayed at another historic inn in Lenox). We had been 2 years ago for dinner and it was quite good. This time we ordered the charcuterie platter as an appetizer. It was OK- had two different cheeses, procuito and some dates and crackers (no mustard, jam, honey...). Then I got the salmon with black rice and green beans. Salmon seemed ok initially but by the time I was done- it seemed very fishy tasting and I didn’t eat the rest . Rice and beans were fine. My husband got the sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. I tried a piece of steak and it was chewy. The mashed potatoes were average and the Brussels sprouts were not as good as what we make in our air fryer at home. We weren’t sure we wanted dessert but my husband thought we should because he mentioned out 25th anniversary on the phone and thought they’d decorate our selection with a sparkler or something. We ordered the pumpkin cheesecake (were only 3-4 selections to chose from) and some decaf. Dessert came, nothing special was added decoration wise, pumpkin cheese cake tasted like pumpkin pie ( not bad but nothing special). Coffee was fine. All in all we were underwhelmed for the price. I had a stomachache later on- not sure if it was from the fish but it’s all I could think about. We will not go there again.

My wife and I had dinner here during the mid-week. When we arrived we were directed to the bar to have a before dinner drink. The bar was small but comfortable. After sitting for just about five minutes we were directed to proceed to the dining room. Felt a bit rushed. As with the bar the dining room is small but comfortable. There was a fire raging in the fireplace which provided a nice atmosphere. The menu is limited and expensive. My wife ordered the strip steak and I ordered the salmon. The steak was fine but the salmon was just barely warm and extremely salty. I did not finish it. The service was very spotty. There was just one server for the whole room. He was working hard but was unable to pay adequate attention to the tables.

What a lovely place for a meal. We were a group of 5 for dinner and we ordered all the main courses on the menu. They were uniformly excellent. For appetizers, the burrata went quickly as did the butternut soup. The apple dessert was a perfect way to end the meal. We wandered outside to admire the stunning sunset and made some friends near the fire pit between courses. HIghly recommended.

Small, but nice atmosphere. For some reason, photos of Queen Elizabeth grace a wall. Filet mignon and mashed potatoes were bland and disappointing. Arancini were good.

We dined here with a friend while visiting the area. The house, while not as expansive as Edith Wharton's home, gives some sense of the Lenox summer cottages at the turn of the last century. The menu is somewhat restricted, but the restaurant makes up in quality what it lacks in quantity. We each ordered the Coq au Vin, and it was tender and succulent. The Autumn Salad was well prepared,as was the butternut squash soup. Portions were just perfect. Somewhat surprising was the British decor, with portraits of the young Queen Elizabeth and the late Princess Margaret. It seemed like a missed opportunity to celebrate what is truly special about the Berkshires and nearby Tanglewood. It's easy to miss the step when exiting the building--there should be some kind of marker to indicate it (especially at night), to avoid falls.

We started with cocktails on the terrace and not only enjoyed our drinks but were treated to fireworks in the form of lightning that backlit the entire mountain range in the background. The wait staff was attentive and accommodating. For dinner we moved into the dining room, a testimonial to the owner’s admiration for Queen Elizabeth. The menu is limited, but each of us enjoyed the appetizers and entrees we chose.

Well, we ignored the danger signs, and paid the price. We started with drinks at the bar, and I ordered a mojito. While waiting for it to be made, I took a look at the Inn's website. It does not identify any innkeeper, doesn't say who owns it, and has no real "story" to tell, unlike virtually every inn in the country. Some nameless corporation? I pointed this out to my wife, but got interrupted when the mojito arrived. When I asked about what was in it, since there was NO mint and tasted super sweet, the bartender proudly displayed the bottle of prepackaged, store-bought mix they use rather than create a real mojito with actual mint leaves. Somehow, these things did not stop us from nevertheless heading in to the restaurant for dinner. Nice romantic dining room, albeit with lots of pictures of Queen Elizabeth, not sure why. We ordered a bottle of wine, and checked out the menu. My wife (vegetarian) ordered the Potage St. Germain (a kind of pea soup) and the cauliflower steak. I had the tomato tart and the lemon chicken piccata. Things went downhill fast. My wife, who is a big fan of salt, could not eat the soup, it was so over salted. I tried it and could barely get down a teaspoon. The tomato tart was not a tart at all, but essentially a piece of pizza - bread with a tremendous amount of cheese and some tomatoes on top. Maybe they ran out of tart shells. The tomatoes were somewhat tasty at least. The main course was equally bad. The chicken was the most dried out, hard and stringy chicken I have ever had. I cook chicken a lot, and can not fathom how they could have done it this poorly. My conclusion was that it must have come from the freezer directly to the microwave and onto my plate. Or perhaps it had been warmed up several times - it was inedible. To their credit, they refunded most of the cost of the dinner, apparently recognizing how bad it was. And from reading other reviews it appears this happens a lot. That's no way to run a restaurant and to ruin what should have been a nice, romantic meal on one of our three nights in Lenox.

We had lunch at this restaurant just of the “main drag” of Lenox. The terrace setting had a great view of the Berkshires. While our lunch was simple, lobster roll, tomato cheese tart, cauliflower “steak” and pain perdu, every thing was well prepared and inexpensive ($18 per person)

The view is absolutely spectacular. The food is OK. Service is good. Definitely worth getting a few drinks and enjoying the view.

I’m usually not too fond of the idea of trying new restaurants. I stick to what I know and I tend to order the same dish. But today, I was extremely happy to have stumbled upon this resturant. There was an outstanding view from the balcony and the service from the waitress was 5 star. I ordered the beef tenderloin which I highly recommend. I live over a half an hour away and I believe that this will be worth the drive upon my second visit to this resturant. I highly recommend everyone to try eating here atleast once. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

This is not fine dining. The food here is neither inspired nor exceptional. The service was slow and inattentive. Descriptions on the menu did not match the food served. There was no lemon flavor in the chicken Piccata and no Gorgonzola cheese in the arancini. I've dined here before, but will not return. Very disappointing.

The outdoor balcony is a beautiful setting but the pleasure stops there. The two young waiters were courteous but they were ill informed about the food, the wine and the hotel. Both of them had on dirty white shirts which should have alerted us to the the absence of management. The dinner selections were uniformly dull and the experience was almost insulting, being charged such high prices for such unexceptional food. It would have been a fine meal for lunch at a train station for a third the price.
