I have been to the ostrich room a couple of times before and had a great time, however, today I arrived with two more people at around 21:20 trying to have a drink.BUT an employee came all the way out to tell us that tonight they decided to close the bar in that very moment we arrived. 1.5 hours early!!!they advertise themselves as 11 pm close on Thursday but they clearly don’t care about business hours.
Have stayed here several times in the past and the consistent things have been the beautiful property and the great location. I agree with other recent reviews that the inn is in serious need of some tlc , the rooms are overpriced (and they charge extra for housekeeping!) and I don’t think the current ownership ‘ gets’ what the Berkshires is about. On the positive side, the staff is hardworking and as nice as can be, breakfast on the porch overlooking the mountains is wonderful...
This is a nicely located small Inn that needs a lot of care to make it worth staying overnight. Despite the potential it has, there is not much invested as it seems and everything is "run down". Location is its strongest asset Rooms were very interesting and unique to say the least. Team was nice
