Formosa Taipei is a take out only spot for Taiwanese cuisine. The menu has a lot of options. The scallion pancakes were crispy and yummy. The sauteed string beans were cooked perfectly and the chicken with garlic sauce was delicious.
The service was friendly and efficient, and our food came out quickly. The space is very small with no seating area. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Free parking is available.

A lot of people on here hating on this restaurant. People saying it’s not “authentic”. Of course not, it’s American style Chinese food. People saying it’s a “money grab” expecting prices to always stay the same in spite of enormous rise in cost of product. People saying they ordered via 3P who takes a huge % of their overhead then stiff them on a tip on a huge order. You’re all entitled to your subjective opinion about flavor. What I witnessed was 2 hard working, dedicated people hand snipping green beans and saying they hand make dumplings and bao in a restaurant style where that level of quality absolutely is not to be expected.

The Food was not what was expected. They make up their own style dishes that look like leftovers. There are dishes on the menu that look nothing like what they are supposed to look like. Some dishes taste good, but when I tried to take back a dish that they had turned into a soup and it wasn’t on the soup side of the menu. I didn’t order a soup dish they just said too bad. Rude people, don’t expect anything back from the restaurant owners. They’re not about customers satisfaction …. Reminded me of the soup nazi in Seinfeld

This is a great spot with amazing food and quick preparation. It has been my go-to Chinese spot for the last few years and I don’t expect that to change anytime soon. One big detail: THERE IS NO SEATING, THIS IS TAKEOUT ONLY. The restaurant itself is simply a pickup counter, but don’t let that scare you off, the food is excellent! I would highly highly recommend the spicy minced chicken and the salt and pepper pork chops, unbelievably good.

I got the general Taos chicken. Very good.

Food is decent enough but the owners or management is all about a money grab. We ordered 4 apps and 3 mains and they charged us $11 for some rice, and had an attitude about it.
Avoid this place and spend your money at better places with better ownership.

The quality of most of the ingredients seems fine, and the person behind the counter seemed kind, but the amount of salt in some of these dishes is unbearable and we had to throw them out barely touched.
I may try again, but explicitly ask for low sodium.
This is our favorite Chinese food take out restaurant in Lexington. The food is very fresh and very reasonably priced. The owner is incredibly friendly and I have talked with him many times about real estate when I go in there to order our take out dinner. Since this restaurant is located in a very small commercial strip in our neighborhood, I have many times just walked up there to get our dinner (it’s actually quicker than waiting for the delivery driver).
Got a huge to go order and was disappointed. The General TSO was soggy and not fresh. The pork fried rice was also soft and again not fresh. The sesame chicken was also soggy. I have ordered from there many times with positive results. But on Christmas Day was not one of them.

Ordered fried chicken , beef wrap and braised pork over rice. The fried chicken is just the chicken joints so barely any meat. I don’t understand why they would use that part of the chicken. You’re just eating batter. The beef wrap was okay. The braised pork was $18 for a box filled with lots of rice and 6 small pieces of braised pork slice. Felt like every dish was skimping. Would not go back.

I am unsure about the more American Chinese takeout dishes, but the minced pork over rice was flavorless and I was not impressed at all with the other dishes we got as well. Giving 2 stars because the fancy beef wrap was decent.
Great Taiwanese food! Note that they are pickup only
All the food was great. I got delivery they sent utensils and plates which was very much appreciated. Going to order again.
