“Breakfast sandwiches are okay. Bacon is thicker and chewy- not crispy. Bread is toasted well. I did ask for my sandwich well-done, and it was just toasted okay. I would imagine they’re not usually toasted well. The best part about the “crack” sandwich was all of the gooey cheese. It saved the whole meal. Who can go wrong with a grilled cheese? Egg was fried perfectly, and just a bit runny. Wish the bacon was better and the sandwich had a little seasoning. It was very plain. The cheese made it, really. But like I said, they really couldn’t go wrong with all of the cheese they put in there.”

I decided on fried chicken and fried vegetable rice, which turned out to be an awesome choice. The rice came out first, and it was fantastic. The chicken was perfectly crisp, just the way I like it, even though I didn't request it that way. The customer service was top-notch—very professional. I only interacted with one staff member, but the service was fast, and I didn't have to wait long for anything. I highly recommend you try their food. I'll definitely be coming back. “When our daughter told us she wanted a tea party themed wedding reception, we knew we had a special vision to bring to life. We needed to find a local venue and a caterer who could create the right setting and atmosphere. As we toured different places, our search led us to Muzzey Street. The moment we stepped inside The Vintage Tea and Cake Company, we felt like we had stepped into the past. With its old fashioned charm and lovely details, we knew right away that we had found the perfect place for the tea party reception our daughter had imagined.

Some places are lovely for an afternoon tea. Others become part of a family memory. The Vintage Tea and Cake Company in Lexington, Massachusetts, is the kind of place that does both.

The reception, from start to finish, was a wonderful experience. A special thank you goes to Blair, whose hosting was simply outstanding. She was warm, welcoming, and attentive. She made the entire experience feel easy and relaxed. She helped create the kind of atmosphere where our guests could settle in, enjoy themselves, and focus on celebrating the happy couple.

The setting, with its lace, beautiful porcelain, and old fashioned charm, felt like a step back in time. What made it even more special was watching our guests as they walked in. We could see the recognition on their faces as the room brought back memories of childhood days when things felt a little more magical. It was as if each person had stepped into a memory of their own. Seeing those smiles and watching those memories come alive was exactly the feeling we had hoped for.

The selection of treats from both the traditional and gluten free menus was impressive. The truffles, tarts, scones with clotted cream and jam, and macarons were beautiful and delicious. The savory choices were just as memorable, especially the chicken salad, salmon, and goat cheese with fig. There was something for everyone, and the gluten free offerings were every bit as special as the traditional selections. Blair was also very accommodating when we asked for extra servings of our favorite sandwiches.

The special tea blends added another wonderful part to the experience. Our guests chose Buckingham, Orange Cinnamon, and Lemon Tangers. Each tea had its own wonderful flavor and personality. We learned that Adel mixes her own tea blends, which helped explain why the tea felt like more than just a drink. It became part of the celebration. Blair kept our porcelain pots filled with perfectly steeped tea. The tea was so good that several guests asked about buying Adel’s special blends to enjoy at home.

What stood out most was how beautifully everything came together. The sunny venue, delicious food, special tea blends, attentive service, and relaxed pace made the afternoon feel just right. It was intimate and festive without ever feeling overdone.

The Vintage Tea and Cake Company gave our family a beautiful place to celebrate an important milestone, and we are grateful for the memories we made there. If you are looking for a unique place for a memorable afternoon tea, this is a place worth discovering.

“Passed this place for years and tried it out of convenience for the first time.
Ordered the Pad Thai, chicken pineapple fried rice, and some crispy spring rolls. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. The fried rice had good proportions of ingredients and nothing felt out of place or lazy. The Pad Thai wasn’t mushy and clumped like some other places serve up and the spring rolls were crispy and tasty.
If you’ve been wondering about this spot like I had been, give it a try, you’ll get a good meal.”

It went amazingly with eggs and grilled cheeses. It was calorically heavy and still might have been the fastest my health-conscious household has gone through a load of bread in ages. I'm excited to try their other artisan loafs and see if they can redeem the last muffin.”

Could be very tricky in crowded times or if you need clarification on options, orders or food limitations and allergies.

The only thing that I would recommend is to work on the sugar level consistency. Sometimes 70% sweet is not sweet enough, sweet just right, or too sweet.
