I decided on fried chicken and fried vegetable rice, which turned out to be an awesome choice. The rice came out first, and it was fantastic. The chicken was perfectly crisp, just the way I like it, even though I didn't request it that way. The customer service was top-notch—very professional. I only interacted with one staff member, but the service was fast, and I didn't have to wait long for anything. I highly recommend you try their food. I'll definitely be coming back. Excellent service all around! I'm not a person who try different culture foods. The reviews sold me. The Service I received again was top notch 👌 👍“

“Shu DaXia’s hotpot was a surprising hit and my friends actually prefer it to Liuyishou or Qiao Lin now. The main reason is that they offer a vegetarian version of the spicy Sichuan pepper broth, which the other places didn’t have, I really enjoyed the Shiitake chicken broth as well. The crispy fried pork appetizer was delicious, and I loved that the restaurant felt clean and had a coat check. It wasn't too crowded when we went, which made the whole experience even better.

“Three of us went in yesterday around 11:45 for a quick lunch and we were all very happy: I had the cold turkey sandwich on a challah roll, the coleslaw and a secret dressing were on the sandwich and it was delicious. I'm also not a huge lover of pickles, but the nice big one accompanying the sandwich was good!

Other dishes were the chicken salad on a bagel and a bagel, schmear and veggies. Katie (I think that is her name???) took our order and brought it out as soon as it was ready, as well as checked in with us to see how everything was.

We sat along the window for people watching, Washington Square never disappoints! Embarrassed to say it was my first time in, but definitely will not be the last!“

“Food was great I've had Mike and Patty's twice both times food was delicious only constructive criticism I have is with the app it doesn't allow for you to customize as you please for example had the steak and cheese. The first day came out awesome week. Later was trying to try the bomb steak and cheese.
But I don't eat mushrooms, and it didn't allow me to take out the mushrooms only what cheese I wanted, or if I wanted cheese or not.
That's my only complaint.“

“This restaurant was recommended to us. Hand rolled noodles isn’t something you can get in rural Maine. The noodles we delicious. The waitstaff was attentive. The restaurant was clean and lively. They customized a dish for my daughter (no spice) and her dish was just as flavorful considering they omitted items. We tried an assortment of appetizers and main entrees and my only recommendations would be to get a side of rice for a $1 so you can soak up all the delicious sauce and flavors. Even the tea was good. Bathroom was clean. Food was fresh. And try the thousand layers honey cake. I think everyone will find something to like here. If I am ever in Providence, I will 💯 go again.“

“This place was just SO good. They sell a variety of things, but most notably, the shaved ice. We ordered the mango sticky rice shaved ice, which was definitely the most popular as all the people next to us ordered the same thing as well. The shaved ice was the most perfect, milky, melts-in-your-mouth texture, the mango pieces ripe and soft, and the cream on top the perfect hint of being lightly sweet. We personally found the complementary mango syrup to be too sweet for our tastes, but that’s just personal preference. Highly recommend. We thought the portion was perfect for 3 people, but I’d say each bingsoo could be eaten with 2-4 people. They’re each around $13-16 so it’s relatively affordable when splitting.

Service was so good. The girl working and bringing us food was just so sweet and kind. The man working (who we assumed was the owner) was so eager and sweet as well. The food came out super quickly.

Atmosphere was definitely more of the late night hangout vibe when we went. It was loud, semi-packed, casual, but we were still able to hold conversation and it fit the vibe. During crowded peak times, it’s definitely more of an eat and leave place rather than a sit down for a few hours type, so just keep that in mind!“

Wow – I felt like I had entered someone’s house and had been given one of the most delicious home-cooked Asian meals ever. In addition, the owner always remembers me and welcomes me in. “For years, I breezed past this spot, assuming it was just and old convenience store. Little did I know, I was missing out on some good sandwich deals. A few months back, I discovered they were slinging subs, so I stopped by a couple times to grab some cold subs.

P&K has been a neighborhood fixture for over seven decades, and you can feel that old-school charm the moment you meet the owner. He’s the kind of guy who’s always friendly and never skimps on the toppings—generosity is clearly baked into the business. While the sandwiches aren’t quite the size of Al’s famous subs, they still pack great value, and honestly, they’re hefty enough that I rarely manage to finish one for breakfast. My favorites so far were the seafood salad and the classic Italian sandwich.

Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for no-frills, classic Italian subs. Just keep in mind that the hot subs aren’t usually available until after 10am.“

“I had just missed my flight back home and after 5 hours at the airport things began to look rather grim. I then decided to take a walk and by complete luck happened to use this location as a pickup spot for my Uber. What started as me wanting a small snack then turned into a newfound appreciation for Somali cuisine and an eating experience I will have yet to forget. Tawakal Halal gave me the best food and service in about 14 minutes than other establishments have managed to give me in an hour, so great in fact, that I wouldn’t have forgiven myself if I didn’t go a second time before I left. The food by itself is beyond amazing and I could write a whole review entirely on how great the food is, however, my personal favorites were the Goat Biryani and the Halwa as an excellent dessert option after. In addition to the food, the service here was amazing as well. The staff were always making sure I had everything I needed and doing everything they could to make my experience there a pleasant one, even offering me tea as I waited for my Uber. All in all, the best way I could describe this café to anyone wanting to know more about it is that it is truly everything you could ever ask for in a dining experience: fantastic food and amazing service. It even no longer made me upset that I missed my flight that day for if I hadn’t, I would have never been able to find this gem of a café. “My sister-in-law just sent me and my wife a door dash order to cheer us up, with cold brew and two pains au chocolat. I took one bite and… wow. Buttery but light and flaky, cooked just right - understated perfection in a bag! I grew up in France, and this is honestly one of the best French pastries I have had in 28 years living in the US. Even in France it's not every day you find one this good! We’ll be going there for more, can’t wait to try what else they have to offer!“
