“Fig is the best! Their takeout window basically got me through the pandemic, and I feel very lucky that this is my local. As a certified scone-hater, their blueberry scone is the best I've ever had. Pagu's dishes and drinks are across the board innovative but also welcoming and absolutely delicious!“

“Depends what you are looking for. If it is traditional Cuban food, go elsewhere. If you are interested in latin american food wirh a Cuban flair, you will like this place. I am a native born cuban and I will approach these type of restauranrs wirh a Cuban Nouveu cuisine mentally so I am not immediately disapointed and can approach it more open minded. So think of hispanic food with a Cuban flair. If so, I was impressed with their small plates and entrees. Tasty and well thought out dishes. Nice cocktails with Cuban flair but some standards are available. See photos for their original Hemingway Daiquiri which was quite good. Service was friendly but could have been better but place was packed on a Friday night. Deserts were interesting. The Tres Leches was differnt and recommended. Prices were not cheap but reasonable and much cheaper than Mariel

“We made reservations online for the Omaska. It was $300 which broke down to $120 per person with tip and tax. The tables were perfectly space out. They gave us a 2 hour limit which was enough time for the 12 course Omaska. Presentation on everything was amazing. Each course was fresh and delicious in their own way. It was hard to hear the man over his mask so I couldn't get any names. We had uni, tuna belly, scallops, and more. All the Courses were small but packed with favor. You can take there was attention to detail in the ingredients and presentation. Definitely, worth the money was a special event like a birthday. Would definitely come back“

“Took my wife for her birthday, along with our daughter. Having been to Peru before and really enjoyed the flavors, we were excited to try this out. And the food certainly didn't disappoint. All of the dishes were very flavorful, including both the mango shrimp ceviche AND the vegetarian ceviche (which was something we didn't get in Peru!). The Causa reminded us of our time in Peru, and both the Peruvian Chinese eggplant and the cilantro lamb stew were very good. The former was a bit milder than we expected, but still delicious, while the latter was superbly seasoned with lamb that melts in your mouth. On the drinks side, we had a passionfruit sour, and the Chica sour and both were delicious. The dessert was their fruit mousse which was also excellent. We were seated outside as it was a nice summer's day, so I can't vouch for the interior. The service was good, though it did seem that one of the waiters wasn't particularly thrilled (either about serving us, or in general). The one who took our orders though, was polite and detailed and pointed out the vegetarian options for my wife and daughter. Keep in mind that this is NOT an inexpensive place. The items range from $17 for an appetizer to the high 30's for the main courses. But for someone craving for something different or just very flavorful food in general, this would be a great choice. I can see why this shows up on many of the lists for best new spots in the city. Highly recommended!“

“Decided to walk through Allston on a grody, misty afternoon and look for some food. Walked in by chance and at my SO’s insistence that we give it a look. I loved everything about the aesthetic, and enjoyed the soft music playing in the background. Being able to choose the ingredients I wanted - knowing they were organic and that they looked more than delicious raw...that was the absolute best part. The gentleman at the front was supremely helpful and answered any question thrown at him - by anyone in the shop. The price was more than worth the amount of food received, and the care extended to us as guests was wonderful. I absolutely would recommend anyone to give this a try. I ordered the wagyu steak and it was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and easily one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. The Brussels sprouts were spot on as well, with that ideal balance of crisp edges and tender centers.
A special shoutout to our waiter, Clev. He was one of the best waiters I’ve had in a long time—attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely made the whole experience better. He took great care of us from start to finish.

I didn’t even know there was a category for World’s Best Breakfast Sandwich… apparently Mike & Patty’s created it.

First up: The Fancy. That perfectly runny little yolk made me stop what I was doing and PUT DOWN MY PHONE. I know… in this day and age, that’s basically a spiritual experience.

I ate the entire sandwich and then did the only responsible thing: ordered another one. Purely for quality control. I’m basically a food scientist. 😂

Just when I thought I’d reached peak breakfast, along comes the Bfast Grilled Crack. Now I’m sitting there geekin’ out over what can only be described as fresh, delicious breakfast art.

These guys dropped the mic, pulled out all the stops, put their best foot forward… hell, insert every cliché here because they earned all of them.

Damn, this place is LEGIT.

Allspice in the stuffed grape leaves make them worth coming back for, not something I think I've ever said about stuffed grape leaves before. Most unforgettable was the red lentil soup with its soft rich velvety texture over two or three layers of different delicious flavors. My wife absolutely loved her avocado toast with eggs and my breakfast sandwich was perfectly grilled. We ordered chocolate chip pancakes for our son who also chomped on my home fries and fresh fruit from my wife’s plate. The person who waited on us (the owner?) was exceptionally friendly and stopped off to talk through all of the various types of butter on the table (no, seriously, like four different kinds and all equally amazing!). “Our group of 6 had a fun time celebrating a special occasion at Capital Grille while also enjoying The Generous Pour! The restaurant was very nice. Spacious, sophisticated, and an upscale atmosphere.

He made us feel so welcome right from the start and attended to our table frequently throughout the evening to make sure we were having a great time. The food was sooo good. We started with a variety of appetizers, including the calamari and oysters, which were delicious. For my main course, I had the steak au poivre medium-rare, and it was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious.

For sides, we shared the asparagus, truffle fries, and the lobster mac and cheese which was the best mac and cheese any of us have ever had! And I don’t even like lobster!
