It is a genuinely all in experience, big city quality without the drive. The creativity, the locally sourced ingredients, the way flavors get combined... YUM! Chef Gavin and his crew are doing incredible work and have such fun energy! It is also the only restaurant where my friend with a long list of allergies can eat well. Most places give her a menu back with everything crossed off. Here they build her something new every time, that is true mastery and deep care you can rarely find. A true gem.“

“This is my go-to restaurant in Concord for special occasions. They're very good with allergies and avoiding cross contamination, and every dish I've had has been perfectly cooked (apart from the sashimi, LOL). It's a little pricey, but so is everything in Concord. My friends and family have enjoyed eating here as well.“

But can we talk about the lighting?

Whoever did the electrical work in this place absolutely understood the assignment. The mood lighting is so good I spent part of dinner admiring the fixtures instead of my steak, which is saying something.

Warm, dramatic, flattering—apparently Eddie V’s has figured out that good lighting is cheaper than Botox.

Five stars for the restaurant and the excellent steak.

“We previously been to the Concord location 3 times for pre theater dinner. We liked it very much. But it is LOUD. The Newton location is very close and convenient to our home. We finally scored a reservation. The food was the same excellence we were expecting. The service was better. Our server was the perfect amount of attentive. The noise level was much more manageable. It is a small and crowed space. It is noisy. The noise level in Concord is almost overwhelming. This was no where that loud. Clientele ranged from families with small children to the very elderly. The only negative was we found the valey attendant to be rather rude. Waving his arms and shooing us away. That's fine. I don't allow valet to touch my car.
You need to plan ahead of time if you wasn't to have dinner here. Same day reservations for dinner time are hard to come by.“

The servings are generous, the menu extensive, the ingredients fresh and perfectly seasoned. One of our group is a picky eater and she couldn’t get enough of her veggie burrito. My grilled eggplant sandwich was to die for, and another at our table ordered the portobello sandwich, which she declared superb. The owner/host and a new employee could not have been more accommodating. This is a very clean, unassuming place, a real gem. Coming down from Vermont - the land of vegetarians - I went back wishing we had this great place where I live.“

My husband and son ordered a calmelized onion and red pepper version and I tried the vegan veggie pizza. We were thrilled at how delicious each slice was and we loved everything, from the taste of the dough to the generous amount of toppings and how incredible the vegan cheese on mine tasted so amazing...yes my husband and son both swiped slices of mine... it was that good. “We stopped in on the way home from the airport, and it was amazing! From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed. The atmosphere and food were awesome. I highly recommend the Mickey’s Chicken special and the red sangria which was a deep dark red- as sangria should be. Yum! My children loved our Irish waitress who Made them laugh and feel special. This restaurant is over an hour from where we live, but there is no doubt we will travel back often. Wonderful experience!“

“Went here for my birthday. Wasn't cheap, but I got what I paid for. They did have a price fixe menu available for $60, but I went a la carte. Steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the seafood (my meal featured shrimp, crab, and lobster) was all delicious as well. 10/10 would recommend strongly.

“We had a wonderful experience at Sakura. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. One of the highlights of the meal was the sushi boat, it arrived looking like a work of art and offered a great variety of sushi and rolls, all incredibly fresh and well prepared. It’s perfect for sharing.
The shrimp fried rice was also excellent, perfectly cooked with great flavor and generous portions.
The ambiance is just okay, but the overall service was very attentive and friendly. Sakura is a great spot for delicious sushi and a relaxed casual dinner.“

I added a bunch of veggies (minus the lettuce, not saying that they don't wash the lettuce well, but with all the news going on with lettuce lately, I opted for spinach) and they were tasty and clean. The worker was very attentive, quick and polite, even patient when I took a little bit on deciding what I wanted. The place was empty when I was there, but it looked clean! The sandwich was tasty, I wouldn't call it the best dang sandwich I've ever ingested in my life, but by fast food standards, it was great 👍 would stop by again.“
