“As far as banh mi go, this one is a solid four stars. I went with the BBQ pork and asked for no aioli. The bread was perfectly crusty, the pickled vegetables tasted great and were cut well, as were the fresh jalapeños. I liked the flavor and smokiness on the BBQ pork, but I wish the temperature on it had been anything above room temperature. There were also a couple of overly fatty pieces that should have been trimmed.
The service and atmosphere leave a bit to be desired. The restaurant, at least when I visited, was quite messy. I understand that the sandwiches generate a lot of crumbs, but I think it would help a lot to more regularly wipe down the tables and chairs. I had to wipe off my table and chair when I entered, as did another party I saw come in after me.
I'm also not a huge fan of the QR code ordering system. For such a small place, it feels quite impersonal. Lastly, the cans of soda come out warm. They do provide a cup with a small amount ice, but the cup really ought to be full of ice in order to properly cool down the warm can. In my case, all of the ice was melted as soon as I poured in half a can. Warm soda is just not pleasant.
I think I would order take out next time to avoid the issues they have with dining in. I did very much enjoy the banh mi, but the service issues were a bit perplexing.”

The only downside is that they don’t accept credit or debit cards, but knowing this ahead of time was actually really helpful so we could come prepared.

“I recommend anything but the calzones. I’ve ordered food a bunch of times from Franco’s, a few times in person and 3 times via Grubhub. All 3 times I ordered through Grubhub I chose a calzone. The first time the calzone was cooked fantastically, but the last 2 times it was raw dough in the middle where the folds are. The last time I ordered a calzone which happened to be raw in the middle I just threw it away because I didn’t have time to make a complaint. I ordered another calzone tonight hoping it was just a fluke (New cook? Just super busy and overlooked? Whatever, we all make mistakes NBD) since everything else in my order was perfect. When it arrived I checked the calzone and it was raw again. I made the decision to call the restaurant to let them know and to see if I could send it back for something different. The man on the phone told me I was wrong and that he cooked it himself and it wasn’t raw because “he checked”. I told him it most certainly was raw and that I was hoping for an exchange. He said he couldn’t do anything for me and I’d have to call Grubhub about that. He said I’d have to go in person to exchange it. I said “okay fine I guess I’ll call Grubhub” and then he said something I couldn’t understand and hung up on me. I’m really disappointed. I frequent Franco’s for karaoke and spend money at the bar and restaurant often enough to expect a fair exchange and some decent customer service when I need it. I asked for his help and he offered me nothing. Order anything else but the calzones unless you like your dough to be raw, I guess? I HIGHLY recommend the jalapeño poppers though. They’re always perfect and a surprisingly good size.”

“Yesterday was the first time we tried the pizza at Pizzeria Enzina...Wow... and we are so glad we did. My husband and son ordered a calmelized onion and red pepper version and I tried the vegan veggie pizza. We were thrilled at how delicious each slice was and we loved everything, from the taste of the dough to the generous amount of toppings and how incredible the vegan cheese on mine tasted so amazing...yes my husband and son both swiped slices of mine... it was that good. So happy we found you Enzina....my new favorite ....can't wait to try other dishes and the canoli too!!! We are so grateful for such a wonderful meal!!”

“I took my mom to tita’s kitchen for dinner and we both enjoyed it so much. We could smell the aroma of the restaurant from down the street. It smelled so delicious! The food definitely lived up to the great smells. We got tacos and a carne asada plate. “I hadn't been to Sweet Basil in a while and my friend and I decided to give it a go. I had forgotten how beautiful the decor and ambiance was. We sat at the bar and were warmly greeted by the host as well as Caroline, our bartender. She made us two perfect martini's to the rim, and brought us out a complimentary dish from the chef which was fantastic (I think it was fried chickpea flour in the shape of a very think fry. They also brought us out complimentary bread and focaccia as well as home made pesto. We ordered the meatballs (the best I've ever had, and my wife is Sicilian). We then shared the Chicken Parm which had the most amazing chunky sauce packed with flavor along with homemade rigatoni! This by far was one of the best meals I've had in a while! Sweet Basil will now go in our rotation of weekly restaurants to visit.”

“The food here is awesome and fairly priced. Even simple breakfast sandwiches are delicious. Just be aware it’s in an office building and the entrance is hidden behind a pole. There are 2 tables but it’s mostly takeout. They are close between each meal so the hours aren’t totally accurate”
“Fabulous food, especially if you have a sweet tooth. Always have around 10 specials. They also have creative give aways/promotions a few times a year. The owner and staff are very friendly. Today Susan waited on me and she was quick and very nice.”
