“We had such a great meal here! We started with the soup with pineapple, tofu, and shrimp rice wraps, and everything was fresh and full of flavor. For our entrees, we ordered the steak banh mi and the beef pho, and both were perfect.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a truly great Vietnamese meal. I usually get banh mi in Malden, but they never feel like a full sandwich, and my favorite pho place that I loved for years closed. I’m so happy to have found a new spot that I can look forward to going back to. Everything was tasty, satisfying, and exactly what I was hoping for. Highly recommend!“

“We made reservations online for the Omaska. It was $300 which broke down to $120 per person with tip and tax. The tables were perfectly space out. They gave us a 2 hour limit which was enough time for the 12 course Omaska. Presentation on everything was amazing. Each course was fresh and delicious in their own way. It was hard to hear the man over his mask so I couldn't get any names. We had uni, tuna belly, scallops, and more. All the Courses were small but packed with favor. You can take there was attention to detail in the ingredients and presentation. Definitely, worth the money was a special event like a birthday. Would definitely come back“

“I love Authentic Thai food. With authentic fresh Thai seasoning. In the early 2000 there was a nice amount of Authentic Thai food. My favorite was Thailand Food on Com Ave in Brighton. It was later taken over by Brown Sugar Cafe. THAILAND FOOD WAS TRULY CHEFS KISS! THONGLOR is pretty good but not as good as Thailand Food🙂. I love the Hoi Jor (crab and pork 🥰🤗😋)and Som Tum Kung (Green Papaya salad with shrimp😋😋). Food is very fresh and the authentic flavor is there. I had the roasted pork with green Papaya salad and sticky rice. PAPAYA SALAD is so delicious. The pork loin was good but tough. I also had the Tom Yum seafood dish. Seafood was fresh and tender but the taste was lacking. The food is worth a trip.“

“This review is long overdue, but this is a great Thai small business to support. The place is cozy [with seasonal outdoor seating] and the staff is always warm. The Drunken noodles are my go-to and it is a generous portion of noodles AND protein...for the most part. I strongly discourage paying extra for extra protein as I paid $3 for EXTRA protein and received 3 small shrimp. This seems to be a trend as I have ordered DN at two other places and the extra fee was not reflected in the portion delivered. But Mae does deliver consistently outside of this.“

“I have been a Freshman on the campus of Boston University for only a few weeks. I did not find myself homesick in the slightest and found myself rather content with the food at nearby dining halls. Eating here in this cozy space with such a friendly waitress is such a contrast to packed, noisy dining halls with somewhat, periodically nasty food staffs (at least towards the later hours of the day), and it cured my homesickness I didn't know I had. The atmosphere deceives you a bit, but we believe that's part of what makes it nice to have dinner there. “This place is always our go to when ordering Thai food in Boston area. Their soup, noodles, fried rice and curries everything is nicely and freshly made. The Masaman curry and Basil Fried Rice were the standout and tasted delicious🔥the only thing i liked less was the fried tofu in the curry or rice or noddles. Rather liked the steamed tofu more. But will definitely recommend ordering from this place“

We got the thai pancakes and the thai garden salad for appetisers. Super pleased with them.

For entrees we got the tofu pad thai and chicken ginger make your own thing. Pad thai was great. Chicken was a little boring but cant complain because i ate everything and almost licked the plate (can we normalise that please).

“Little Spoon is a Thai restaurant tucked into a corner of Main Street in Needham with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to settle into for a relaxed dinner. The space has a cute, unique quality to it and the menu covers a wide range of Thai dishes including ramen, curries, noodles, and rice dishes, which gives a table with different preferences plenty of directions to go.

The pad see ew and basil fried rice are both solid orders that cover familiar ground competently. The noodles on the pad see ew have decent wok character and the basil fried rice is well seasoned and aromatic, though neither dish pushed beyond what you would expect from a good neighborhood Thai spot. The mango sticky rice is a satisfying finish and the sticky rice texture is on point, though the mango itself can vary depending on the season. The Thai tea is well made and a natural complement to the spicier dishes on the table.

Across everything we ordered the food was consistently good without being particularly memorable, landing in that comfortable range where you leave satisfied but not necessarily thinking about it the next day. For a weeknight dinner close to home it works well and the portion sizes are reasonable for the price. The menu is large enough that there is probably a higher ceiling to explore on return visits with some of the more distinctive options like the khao soi, tamarind wings, or crispy duck.

Service and pickup accuracy have been inconsistent based on different visits, so dining in tends to produce a smoother experience than ordering out. As a neighborhood Thai option in Needham it fills the gap well enough.“
