“Visited for the first time recently with a friend who had been there before the renovation, and she mentioned there has been an improvement overall, both in terms of the space itself and the food. The interior is now modern, clean, and much more polished than what you might expect from the outside. It creates a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
Service was efficient, and all dishes arrived surprisingly quickly.
We ordered fried rice, scallion pancake, gyoza, and two versions of the double-fried chicken (spicy and garlic). The spicy chicken was flavorful but closer to a medium spice level rather than truly spicy (I’m used to eating quite spicy food, including Korean dishes like strong kimchi jjigae, so I have a good reference point). The garlic version leaned slightly sweet, and the garlic flavor itself was more subtle than expected. The texture was very crispy, as expected from double-fried chicken, although not especially juicy. Those specifically looking for juicier fried chicken may want to try their Korean fried chicken instead.
The scallion pancake was good, albeit more fried and dense than the lighter, flakier style some might expect. The gyoza were very enjoyable, with good flavor and texture. The taro smoothie was excellent: rich, well-balanced, and one of the highlights of the meal. They also appear to offer a full range of bubble tea drinks.
Value was a strong point. The total came to around $50–60 for two people, including drinks (a Saporo beer in addition), and one of us is a big eater (me 😳), and we still had leftovers. Given the portion sizes, quality, and setting, the pricing felt very reasonable.
Overall, a very solid experience. While a few flavor profiles could be slightly more pronounced, the atmosphere, efficiency, and value make this a place worth returning to. It’s also nice to see how much effort they’ve put into improving the space. Well done 👏“

“We consider ourselves foodies and ordered take out last week and the food was delicious! In addition the staff was super friendly and gave some great advice on what to order. Great portion sizes. Today my husband and I returned and dined in. Again, the food was so good and people working there were so nice! We will definitely return as well as spread the word to our friends. Go Viet Citron ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!“

“Stopped by Pho and Rice in Somerville and ended up switching my order from takeout to dine-in at the last minute. The staff could not have been kinder or more accommodating, and the food was excellent. The pho came with all the trappings and was deeply satisfying, comforting, and genuinely delicious.“

“I love how this place has both Thai and Vietnamese food, it’s such a good combo. Everything tasted really fresh and absolutely delicious. The lychee smoothie with popping boba was so refreshing. I’d definitely recommend trying it if you’re in the area. Added to one of my favorite spots!“

“Vietnamese café with solid coffee and matcha.
Stopped by a few weekends ago, a little past noon, and the place was already packed. Most of the food items (including the egg rolls) were sold out by then, so we ended up ordering the grilled pork bánh mì, a salted matcha latte, and an egg coffee.
The salted matcha latte was great. This was only my second time trying salted foam on a latte, but the sweet-and-salty combination worked as expected. The foam added a pleasant savory note that balanced the matcha nicely without overwhelming it.
The egg coffee, unfortunately, was bad. We had to wait an extra 20 minutes for a fresh batch of egg foam, but even then, it didn’t integrate well with the espresso and tasted bitter. My Vietnamese friend mentioned that egg coffee is typically much sweeter (closer to a dessert coffee), so this wasn’t quite what I imagined.
The grilled pork bánh mì was good. Can’t say I eat enough banh mi to call this top-tier or not, but the baguette had the right crunch. Just wish there was more sauce.“

“After really enjoying Viet Citron at Eastern Food Hall, I decided to try out the Bow Market location. The prices seem to be the same ($19 for a basic pho), but the portion sizes here seemed larger -- definitely more noodles.
We tried the brisket pho and the garlic seasonal special pho. The meat in the garlic pho was a bit chewy for my tastes, but the broth was very flavorful. I didn't like the broths as much as the Eastern Food Hall one, but it was still good!
We got 1 lb of pork belly. It wasn't as good as what we had at Eastern Food Hall (less crispy and juicy), but it might just have been less fresh.
Overall it's still good food, and good portion sizes. Just didn't quite live up to my expectations. We ordered through a kiosk and ate at one of the few two seaters inside.“

“One of the best restaurants in the area! Gotta get the coconut pudding desserts — that’s a hidden gem on the menu and one of my favorite desserts ever. The service is kind, quick, and attentive, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is cozy with ample seating.“

“The drink was not outstanding. A lot of people were sitting inside working on their laptops, so there wasn't seating. The cafe would benefit from being cleaned. The garbage was too full. I think the bar needs to be raised if the stars/reviews are so high.“

“Order a banh mi sandiwch from Saigon Tiger, a new store on Relish. 1st delivery is late, not a good start from a new relish venue. hopefully the food is better than the prep for the delivery. Got my BBQ pork Bahn Mi dleivered not as late as was suggested by Relish. It was delicious, nice portion, great bread, plenty of jalapenos. Definitely will order again.“

“This small shop has really good banh mi! I'm a vegetarian, and have repeatedly gotten the tofu banh mi, but I've taken people here and they have enjoyed the pork and chicken banh mi as well. The staff are always super nice. I would 100% recommend this place for the food and pleasant customer service.
Vegetarian options: The tofu banh mi is really good.“

“Pho Station feels like a warm, welcoming family restaurant. Their pho comes with a plate of fresh, crisp vegetables, and everything tastes alive and healthy. The sandwiches are especially delicious—the bread is perfectly toasted with a soft crunch on the outside, filled with fresh vegetables and your choice of protein.
What I love most is that it’s tasty and satisfying without being greasy or heavy in calories. If you’re trying to eat healthier but still want something filling, I highly recommend their sandwiches. Healthy, light, and absolutely yummy!“

“Excellent, fresh, delicious, authentic rice dishes with grilled pork or beef. The beef soup (Pho Bò) and the spring rolls were tasty. We also loved the Vietnamese iced coffee.
The waitress named Nga is extremely helpful, polite and efficient.“

“Perfection! Pork bahn mi and pork dumplings were wonderful. Asked for extra vegetables and was told it already came with plenty. Sandwich was very well balanced and definitely had enough vegetables. Very friendly staff! Keep up the great experience.“

“My husband and I love coming to banh mi cafe, it’s one of our neighborhood go-to’s. It’s especially great to pick up a banh mi for a little picnic across the street, or by the library, which is advised bc they only have three counter seats.
Everyone here at banh mi cafe is efficient and welcoming, so service is quick. You can easily order at the kiosk if you’re feeling antisocial, the the staff are open to answering questions too. I usually go with the standard deli meat sandwich which is phenomenal. I tried their bbq pork and their lemongrass tofu last night. Both were super tasty, but I’m always nostalgic for a traditional banh mi personally. However, the lemongrass tofu was honestly a sleeper hit. It’s really flavorful and has such a nice contrasting texture against their French bread. Highly recommend it here! Their fresh rolls are also fantastic—extremely crisp, I think they add chive in it? It’s great, whatever it is lol. I will say, in the dozens of times I’ve been, they have only sold out of bread once after 6/6:30pm, but when I tell you I was absolutely devastated…so get there early if you can!“

“My first visit here. I had a dish where you make your own rice paper rolls with a protein. I had pork and it came with peanuts, carrots, watercress, cucumber, rice and a sweet mild fish sauce. It was delicious and fun. I didn't finish and for my to go box they included a fresh container of the dipping sauce so I was able to have the exact same thing again at home.“

“Pho 1 has changed a lot and I’ve been going there for years. Last night I ordered the beef soup for take out and when I got home and opened it the meat was like shredded and not the same consistency that had been in the past. These are hard times for all of us and giving customers scraps is no acceptable. I will go again later in the year and see if they have improved.“

“Le’s Vietnamese Restaurant is a cozy and inviting spot right in Harvard Square (inside The Garage Mall). The ambiance gives off a Vietnam vibe, with warm lighting and a relaxed atmosphere.
The food was good and satisfying—we ordered pho, beef with broccoli, and rice, and everything tasted great. It’s a solid option if you’re craving Vietnamese comfort food.
The service was great, and when we went for late lunch, there were no lines and it wasn’t crowded, which made the experience even better.
The location is very convenient, just steps from Harvard, and there are parking garages nearby if you’re driving.
Overall, a nice, casual place for Vietnamese food in the area—worth checking out when you’re around Harvard Square!“

“This might just be one of the best bars in Boston - and we’re incredibly lucky to have it in Central Square. I visited with a friend and ordered the Duck and the Fluke, both of which were outstanding and paired perfectly with the Good Dealer and Honey Mousse Espresso cocktails. Our waiter, Langston, was an absolute superstar - attentive, warm, and on top of everything. My only regret is that the management was running such a smooth floor that I didn’t get a chance to personally let them know how great he was before we left. This is definitely the place to go if you’re looking for a great night out, whether with a friend or on a date.“

“Dang oh dang 🤩, what a deal what a steal. I have never been so satisfied during my lunch break when I sat down and was presented with an amazing appetizer of crab rangoon which was then followed by drunken noodles 🍝. I love Thai food but man this Thai food was better than usual. The price on the other hand was amazing for the quality it provides. Mae is well located in Cambridge so take your next lunch break here, you won’t be disappointed 😆.“

“Beautiful dining room. I ordered take out this evening using the Toast App. I mistakenly added a $500 tip instead of a $5 tip because the order went through too fast. I called and explained what happened. The manager called me right back and assured me that he would fix it before closing out. He was so kind, even though they were busy. The food was excellent and the waitress was so kind in packing one dish separately due to a peanut allergy. We will definitely be frequent flyers here.“

“Food is incredibly amazing quality and consistent. Takeout only, and a few lovely seats inside while you’re waiting. (Interior decoration is so fun to look at and simply enjoy.)
Sometimes I just drop by to pick up a viet iced coffee or thai iced tea. Always perfect. This place has become my comfort food!“

“This is a small coffee bar with limited indoor seating and a nice backyard patio with additional seating. They also serve Vietnamese small plates which are tasty but the portions are a bit small for the price. There is no table service. You order your food and find a place to sit. They call you up to get your food when it’s ready and you’re expected to bus your own tables when done. Friendly staff.“

“Saw this cafe near Cambridge and decided to try it with some friends 😛✨
. What drew me in initially was the ube tiramisu, which is something I’ve never tried before. It was quite good and the ube flavor prevalent, but the only thing is the cake felt too cakey and not as soaked/moist as a tiramisu typically should be. However, the banh mi was SO good and the meat perfectly flavored. The bread was perfectly toasted and you could hear the slight crispness from biting into it. The Nutella walnut cookie was slightly too hard, which could’ve just been because it was overbaked or stale. However, the matcha was solid!
Service: It was quite packed in the cafe but the workers were so efficient, quick, and nice.
Atmosphere: It was quite hectic and crowded when I went on Saturday around noon. It gives very bustling busy cafe vibes and is the perfect place to chat with friends and study. Lots of windows and sunlight, cramped but abundant seating.
Overall, highly recommend this spot for a casual meetup and/or to get some quick studying done! Food was overall good!“

“Got lunch here for the first time while working on the field in the Harvard IT department. I work around the West Campus a lot so I'm looking for more lunch spots. The kiosk is easy to use and navigate, the wait time was short. The pho was great and made for a nice warm bowl of broth and noodles in this cold weather. The noodles are well cooked. The broth was hot and had good seasoning. Lots of toppings and meat. My note of no lime and ginger was fulfilled.
However, my only complaint is that I also ordered a Brown Sugar boba milk tea and had to immediately spit it out as the taste of spoiled milk hit. I had my colleague at the office try it and he too also noticed it didn't taste like Brown Sugar boba milk tea and compared it to spoiled milk. I'm not going to give a 1 star because the review doesn't deserve that, but just a -1 for my drink. Might try again another day...but thanks for reading my review!“

“Such a beautiful little restaurant!
Our first time in; We dined in on a Wednesday and was instantly greeted and sat to a table with a menu. The atmosphere here is very welcoming and feels like I’m going to a family’s house for a wholesome home cooked meal. (And a great music playlist might I add)
We ordered quite a bit, thai rolls, chicken pho, lomein, pork fried rice! Everything came out quickly while still being hot, rich in flavor and overall better than most if not all similar restaurants in the Boston area.
If you’re in a debate, definitely check this place out! Will be back again and thank you to the staff and chef!🍜“

“Good place for a quick and satisfying lunch. These banh mi’s are served on fresh shatteringly crispy bread and they are filled with the protein of your choice plus jalapeño slices, cilantro, mayo and carrot and daikon pickle. I see some reviews complain about no pate but that is usually only in the cold cut banh mi. Staff are helpful and efficient. We got our food made to order in just a few minutes.“
