“Outstanding service and superb Pho. Both the staff and the owner were incredibly welcoming. As a family of three, we felt highly appreciated during our first dinner visit to the restaurant. Despite living a bit far and having numerous options nearby, we will definitely re-visit.“
“The Banh mi hit the spot. I ordered it with grilled pork AND grilled chicken and with extra mayo spread. Perfect sandwich. My only gripe was the cost $5 for chicken and $5 for pork, total sandwich $15+ and the real issue was the boba tea, arrived stale and boba was firm and terrible texture. Worth it for the sandwich though. I’d definitely order again, I’d just skip the 2x meat and just get 2 regular Banh mi’s for $20 and no boba drink next time. Meat was delicious.“
“AWESOME AWESOME ,, PERFECT SUB ROLL , SOO CRISPY YET SO SOFT INSIDE , MELTED AWAY WITH EACH BITE , THE CRUST STAYED CRISPY TILL THE END . I HAD CHICKEN AND IT WAS DELICOUS , TALK ABOUT FRESH TOPPINGS ,, IT REALLY HIT THE MARK ON ALL PARTS .. I TRIED THE CRISPS AND T HEY ARE QUITE TASTY . EGG ROLLS KNOCK IT OUT THE PARK . TA CHILI IS AVAILABLE FOR THOSE OF US THAT ENJOY THE SPICE. GO CHECK EM OUT“
“Great delicious food,We started with spring rolls and egg rolls, honestly both were delicious they come with their sauces which are very tasty. My wife got the beef pho and I got Bún bò Huế both were super good and flavorful but I would pick the pho just for how good it was. I also got the cold coffee with condensed milk, was not a big fanDefinitely will be back, very curious to try the grilled catfish (needs 50 minutes to prepare)Food: excellentPortion: great +Customer service: very goodAmbiance: casual.Prices: affordable .Cleanliness: Adequate.Parking: available same plaza“
“Great little hole in the wall with some of the best bahn mi in the area. There’s way more filling than other places and they’re packed with more flavor. The pickled veggies in the sandwiches also cut through the richness really well. Pair it with the salty lemonade or fresh sugar cane juice!“
“Ugh best coffee and banh mi in town but man I hate how cheap these Vietnamese workers act as if we're in Vietnam. So much aggression when requesting for extra butter in the banh mi. I've been a customer here for 20 years and it's always been like this that's why I don't come a lot. Like charge me for it or put less meat on. Don't tell me that it's enough if I say add more then just do it for gods sake. I even had a friend ask for more butter and the lady said it would make her fat. Ordered on uber eats where you can pay an extra 50cents for more butter and still had a dry ass banh mi. Stop acting so goddamn cheap“
“I have ordered from this restaurant and the food is very delicious but please read the instructions. On our last order we asked for non spicy food and everything came with the highest level of spicy to the point that it was almost non edible.“
“I ordered the veggie steamed bun and vegetarian ramen, and both were delicious. It was refreshing to find a vegetarian ramen soup with a flavorful base other than miso. The steamed bun was particularly tasty. As a solo diner, I felt comfortable dining alone. The restaurant had a quaint atmosphere, and street parking was available.“
“this is the most amazing banh mi i've ever had !! I'm on a little holiday in boston from london and I've recently fallen in love with banh mi. this has taken the top spot though - the baguette had that perfect crunch and it was overflowing with the filling. such a reasonable price and the service was so fast and lovely :) highly recommend the lemongrass pork !“
“ordered their iced saigonese and iced Càphê Sua Da. both were sooo delicious and they came straight to our table since we used their online ordering system. there's limited seating inside the cafe but they have plenty of outside seating if the weather allows. I saw people stay at the cafe to do some work, so if you're ok with working in a louder environment I think this would be a good spot to work. their drinks were creamy and delicious! the sea salt foam in their iced saigaonese wasn't too overwhelming and both drinks weren't too strong. just the perfect amount of sweetness and coffee.“
“Maybe the best part was the mello jazz that was playing! Very cool and relaxing.I got the chicken rice noodle soup that was perfect for this drizzly and cool day.Generous amounts of delicious shredded chicken and fresh basil made it special.“
“Tip: Usually good amount of street parking a nice ice cream place nearby for dessert. This place is definitely a must try if you like pho. I usually go to “pho viet” but honestly this place might be just as good or even better. Unfortunately I cannot say the ramen was as great as it was okay. But I would definitely come back to try another pho or even the Thai noodle soups. Price-flavored value is p good.“
“Only started coming here recently after living in Quincy my whole life. Wish I started coming sooner. The food is very good and homey. I usually get any of the banh mi for lunch or to go but the noodle soups are all delicious. They have a lot of variety as well. I'm here at least once a week. The service is extremely friendly as well“
“For $14 (via Uber Eat), cháo lòng is excellent! Forgot to take a picture. No bad smell from the intestines (which is really hard to achieve). Generous portion of meat and clean bean sprout, with a side of quẩy. Not a lot of places in Dorchester can rock an excellent cháo lòng. One thing I'd suggest, a side of small fish sauce and thai chili comes with it, to make it more authentic. Bánh canh cua is ok, 8/10, will get it when I desperately crave for it. Will come back.“
“I seriously miss this place and would come here every week if it was down the street from me! This spot is such a hidden gem, we loved every item we ordered from here! This is the first Vietnamese Restaurant I've seen in Boston to serve Mi Quang and DAMN was it FRICKEN GOOD! The egg noodles were just chewy enough and the sauce and broth were such a good complement to one another that this may just be my favorite Viet dishWe also ordered the Pho Dac Biet (Pho Special) and the broth tasted so pure, it was just simply fantastic. In addition, we also ordered beef summer rolls which were pretty great too. The restaurant itself seems family owned since it seemed like many locals were walking in and also chatting with the owner. It's about small-medium sized inside, but definitely can still fit a good number of tables. Waiter was very kind and made sure our table felt cared for despite all the tables he had to take care of himself! Can't wait to come back again! What we ordered:- Mi Quang (A MUST)- Pho Dac Biet (Pho Special)- Beef Summer Rolls“
“It is hard to beat the offering of this restaurant! They have: good food, affordable prices, relaxed atmosphere and great service! We dinned here twice thus far and will surely return. It is the only place I feel confident to try a new dish without feeling bad about the money (in case I don’t like the dish). At about $50-60 for 2 entrees, one sake and tip, this restaurant is a gem. I don’t remember much from the more expensive restaurants I’ve dinned at (aside from how high the bill was). Because few places elevate cuisine to the level where a $150 bill for 2 people feels like money well spent. So, I am happy we found this restaurant because they got the recipe right: you pay a reasonable price for good food and you get loyal customers!Thank you!“
“I have been here a half a dozen times and I have only got takeout. When I do pick up the staff is very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is clean. I am addicted to their pork bahn mi. The baguette is crusty and soft, the honey roasted pork is delicious and the pickled vegetables have the crunch that you want. All in all a perfect bite.Thank you!“
“This place is SO GOOD! I just moved in down the street and am so happy to have a true, authentic viet spot close by!! I've only been in for a quick banh mi grab and haven't had the chance to order any pho, but I'm sure as the weather gets colder I'll be there daily. I'm so picky about vietnamese food bc my mom had a restaurant while I was growing up. I'm sad she never taught me to speak vietnamese but the women behind the counter are so helpful and kind regardless!Highly recommend :)“
“Very delicious food and wide variety of menu items to choose from. Breakfast to dinner even late night snack, you can basically get anything you craving for. I would definitely recommend all my friends and family to visit this place, and for those who loves Vietnamese cuisine!!!“
“Like similar, family-run Vietnamese delis, this is a simple, casual venue offering sandwiches and light dishes, with plenty of room to sit inside and enjoy your goodies after you order them at the counter. Think banh mi, pho, rice dishes, and bubble tea drinks. A cold cut banh mi, for example, featured a generously sized baguette that was reasonably filled with meats and veggies - a solid, delicious deal at $6. There are also ready-made appetizers and rolls, if I remember correctly, that you can grab to go. So if you're traveling along busy Main Street and are looking for a decent, healthier alternative to, say, American fast food at prices that are the same or even cheaper, then this is an excellent choice.“
“Great portions for great prices! I ordered a 5 piece chicken wing for 12.99 and the portions were HUGE. I only ended eating 3 wings which filled me up. Perfect seasoning and crisp. The mashed potatoes were also delicious, melted in my mouth. Definitely coming back here again! Support local businesses!“
“Very nice small restaurant. Was not crowded had literally the best fresh spring rolls I have ever eaten and spring rolls, #3 on the menu, are my favorite thing ever. Had the beef soup, #19 on the menu, which was also quite amazing. Highly recommend!! Staff was friendly and fast. Definitely go try them out!“
“Stopped by for a rainy weekend late lunch. We were seated right away. I ordered the bun bo hue and it was very good. Soup was savory, not too salty. I ordered the steamed mixed veggies on the side, probably wouldn't do it again for the 3.95 price point - very small portion and the veggies were barely steamed. Good experience overall, will come back just for the bun bo hue!“
“I love this spot!! Such an underwhelming location with truly some of the best Viet food in Boston. I've been sleeping on this spot for so long, but my sister has been telling me about Dot Cafe and I finally made some time. This spot offers affordable and quick Vietnamese food and American breakfast. I actually only came for the Bánh Bột Chiên, Vietnamese fried rice flour cakes, but then I saw that they had Mì Quảng (it's new!!). It's a noodle dish from Central Vietnam that uses wide flat tumeric noodles, and the broth is a mix of pork and shrimp flavors. It was a little sweet, rich in flavor, and the pork was soooo tender. Not any, if very little places make this dish. My Sister's Crawfish used to make the best dry version of these noodles, but they sort of rebranded + relocated and don't have it anymore SO if you want some Mì Quảng, go to Dot Cafe!!!!“
“How come I have to travel all the way to Dorchester to get really good Vietnamese food? Regardless, this place is worth the trip. The soup is hearty and the garnishes they provide for it are excellent. The Thai Tea smoothie is one of my favorite dessert drinks I've ever had. Summer rolls are excellent. Short wait times. Low prices. Plenty of seating for larger parties. This place is in a league of its own. I don't want that trendy hot pot stuff when I want a bowl of soup - just give me my Pho Le.“
“One of our favorite spots, this Vietnamese restaurant never disappoints. It's perfect for lifting our spirits. My partner and I consistently choose either the pho or the rice plates, and the quality and taste are always top-notch. The staff is incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home every time we visit. With its spacious interior, seating is usually immediate. Additionally, they serve a variety of milk teas, with the Thai tea being a personal favorite. Overall, it's a fantastic place for comforting, satisfying meals.“
“It's very good, solid and I would dine here anytime. It's not too far and my Pho was an easy 5 star. Really big menu, a big dining room and good service. Please be sure to lock your car and don't talk to anyone approaching you. We saw a couple of unsavory's walking the lot and looking for an opportunity. (Pretty much a point off for that.) I had friends from Randolph, it was a great, safe town back in the day. Now it's a suburban hood like all the satellite towns around the city. With that change comes good, cheap and culturally diverse food. SilverLinings.org My seafood Pho was a huge bowl chock full of fish a few scallops and shrimp. I like it when they have 2 or 3 sizes for Pho. Of course, I get the largest size and why not for only another couple bucks. The broth was on the expected bland side and in need of enhancement. I'll get the beef next time. The summer roll looked good, the wrap was a bit thick and caused the roll to be chewy. I need to try it again. The peanut sauce while plentiful was loose and also not strong enough of a flavor. Overall: Price was good Food was good Service was good = 4“
“Love the pho noodle bowls here. Takeout from this location is also excellent. The broth, noodles, veggie and meat are all packaged separately to be easily combined once home. It makes for the perfect meal on a cold winter night, which I love! Service is always very friendly and prompt. The spring rolls are also excellent, as well as the alcohol mixed drinks. Love that this location has a full bar and excellent mai tais.“
“Sandwiches are incredible. My favorite is the Roast Pork Banh mi.Would have posted a photo but demolished the sandwich.Everything is fresh. The parking lot is fast and furious.Coffee is great espresso with condensed milk DELICIOUS..Cash onlyEasier, if you speak Vietnamese..Parking: Very busy parking lot“
“We’re from New York, we were recommended to go here by the locals at the Asian market (truong thinh supermarket)and Vietnamese jewelry store. They recommended Saigon #1. We’ve only been there during lunch, My parents and I ordered the family style meal and it was so good! Offer a way better variety than the Viet restaurants in the Albany, NY area. Service was good, staff was friendly. I recommend this place if you’re in the area for a family style meal!“
“This small Vietnamese restaurant mostly serves other people, not Vietnamese, because not many Vietnamese people live nearby. However, I will give a ? to the tasty Viet food compared to many other Viet restaurants that don't have many Viet customers. Oh, please try the Vietnamese coffee. You won't be “
“I love this place so much. My boyfriend introduced me to this place and I can't help but to come back for more. The bahn mi sandwhiches are AMAZING and I always get either the cold cut or the bbq pork. The service is amazing and very quick. The ambiance of the store is little and dainty, but they get the job done. I love this place with all my heart.“
“Came here on the whim and tried the napoleon beef (Bo ne) and it's quite a different experience. The beef is sliced thin so don't expect a thick cut or even chunks of beef cube like the Bo loc luc. The beef I got taste good but it did have some veins which made it but chewy. I got rice instead of bread. Hint: don't forget to butter up the beef if you like the buttery flavor of steak.“
“I ordered lunch here today... TRY THIS PLACE! The food was amazing, so flavorful, so tasty, cooked to perfection! I got the chicken pad Thai and fried egg rolls.I was in Asia recently, and honestly, this place was better than a few meals that I had there. Service was seamless, the place was nice inside, good prices and portions. Pho... You will see me again soon!! Side Note: The order was a bit heavy and they put a cardboard piece at the bottom of the bag, common sense, just an added extra for me ????“
“The menu is a bit cheaper than other Vietnamese Pho restaurants. Bun bo Hue is tasty and only $10.95. I love it. The reason for 4 stars because the egg rolls were not fresh and turning bad (smell, almost Stale). Recommended to try Bun bo Hue“
“It’s just like u’re getting the mini baguettes in Paris. Stay fresh and crispy for all day, for next day just a few seconds put in bake in the toaster it’s like it comes alive again ? of course I mean it’s fresh and crispy again??. Also there are variety delicious VN.cold cuts and sausage for making the Vietnamese sub ( bánh mì).Store is clean, staff are courteous. Good place to get your good meal for a day?“
“I came here with my sister on a Friday night and a great place for your Vietnamese food fix. The service was good and the food came out not too long. I ordered the pho with beef and tripe and the broth was really good. They really garnish the pho broth really nicely and was very aromatic and hot and noodles were tender. Would definitely come back again.“
“Lemongrass is always a good place for lunch at a reasonable price. The lunch special menu is still a great deal, especially being in Brookline.Vermicelli Bun is delicious and can't go wrong, or a pork chop rice plate.Get a sampler to share with friends, or if you don't have friends, eat it all by yourself!“
“Excellent place. Definitely a hike in the wall/dive-like shop. An unlikely place to find an excellent sandwich. They also have fresh spring rolls and other food items. A true hidden gem in Randolph. One of my favorite places to get lunch in my area.Parking: Parking is okay. There are other businesses and another restaurant. If you can’t find parking up front there is more on the side and in the back.“
“I enjoy stopping to get Pho here after the Boston Marathon. Stopped in on 4/16 and received poor customer service. It was mid afternoon and not too busy as there were tables open. I was seated with a glass of water and a menu. Each time I looked up the person who sat me would say in a minute. I waited on staff to return and they never did. I watched as several customers after me were seated and their orders were taken and brought to them within minutes of arriving. Trying to give the benefit of the doubt, I waited, and after more than 12 minutes I got up and flagged someone down. The server seemed to not understand that I was wanting to order and that I had been sitting there without ordering until a customer, gentleman (who came in after me and had his meal) spoke up loudly and told him that I wanted to order. Thanking him for his help I offered to pay for his meal (he graciously declined).I finally received my food and it was good, but the poor service saddened me. Hope this was a fluke.“
“I loved my meal here their vermicelli is so special it comes with other toppings/sides that regular vermicelli does not have! I also ordered the Vietnamese coffee with ube foam and it’s so good, their coffee is also stronger and “thicker” than other Vietnamese coffee I’ve had! The owner was also so kind he paid attention to our food and was so nice ?“
“Com tam, huge portion size, meat was flavorful and the sides were good.Pho, lack flavor.Crab and port soup, good flavors.Bun bo hue, lacked flavor and spiciness but has a lot of ingredients.Fried spring rolls, feels like packaged food.Sugar cane shrimp, too greasy, also feels packaged.Red bean milk, delicious.Egg soda, delicious.“
“One of the best surprises to come from the South Shore Plaza! This place is unlike any other food court or mall food experience you'll have - Lumi is a very affordable and very fresh alternative to the norm and if you hadn't tried it yet, it's definitely something to put on your radar! The food is fresh, the storefront is always clean and inviting and the service is quick and friendly. I got the beef Banh Mi and can't stop thinking about it - I don't even like cilantro but there is NOTHING on it I could bring myself to change. Try them out if you're looking for something new and delicious! :p“
