Thai Place Restaurant in Allston offers authentic and flavorful Thai dishes in a small, colorful setting. The restaurant is known for its friendly service and convenient location near music venues like Brighton Music Hall and O’Brien’s Pub, making it a great spot for a quick meal before or after events. The menu features popular dishes such as Khao Kra-Pow Moo-Krob, which includes crispy pork chunks stir-fried with bell peppers, string beans, and basil in a basil sauce served on rice, often enjoyed with extra spice. Other favorites include Moo Bing (Thai grilled pork skewers), basil fried rice, and mango curry, all praised for their deliciousness. The Phad Thai is fragrant, with peanuts and a hint of fish sauce, though some find it a bit too sweet. The red curry with tofu and Thai iced tea are also highly recommended. The restaurant is open until midnight five nights a week, offering a cozy and quiet atmosphere during lunch hours. Many visitors describe the food as the best Thai they have ever had, with some noting the crab rangoons and dishes like som tum as standout favorites. Overall, Thai Place is a highly recommended spot for authentic Thai food served by nice, attentive staff.
